Works great. Breaks down fast and is easy to store on the boat. Can be used for anything water transfer jobs. Leaks a tiny bit for the top hose connection but not any amount worrying about. If you’re transferring dirty water just pump a few pumps of clean water through it to clean the hose and pump section.

I originally got this to pump out the water that my pet ducks spill in the chicken coop literally everywhere every single day of their leisure filled lives. However, I found that I can use this in many ways in the farm! During the winter, my pipes outside freeze and I can't get fresh water to my farm animals... Until now! I filled a kiddie pool with fresh water before the temperature dropped and then pumped out fresh water underneath the ice all week! It was amazing. I also use this to pump out enough water from the horse water trough so I can easily dump it over to clean it. If it works this well for farm animals, I'm sure it'll work good on a boat. I wouldn't know since I don't have a boat. My animals took all my money so we don't have a boat. But this little pump was the best small investment ever. Well made and is holding up to daily farm use.

it’s a great product that just wasn’t fully thought through … Pros: When assembled and if the corrugated hose stays put, it removes a lot of water per stroke; does not require much arm strength; innovative base leaves just a scant skim of water that is easily removed with a small sponge or small towel; seemingly rust proof (though can’t see the inner workings). Cons. The holder for the corrugated hose when disassembled is silly engineering, laughable actually. I had to fabricate a lashing to hold everything together when disassembled; the corrugated tube does not float and it sinks rather quickly; so when (not if) it falls off, don’t be over deep water; the black gasket that goes over the corrugated tube (to hold it into the pump) sometimes stays behind when the pump is disassembled. It takes some futzing to get the gasket back out; this next issue is a very annoying: the ginormous side sticker disintegrates when wet leaving paper crumbs all over the freshly washed dinghy … um, perhaps a waterproof sticker for a pump used in wet environments? Bottom line. The non waterproof sticker kinda sums it up - it’s a great product that just wasn’t fully thought through. It could use some design refinement in its next iteration. It’s awkward to transport disassembled unless you make your own lashing but then I gotta tie and untie - the hose should snap in/out securely. Futzing with the gasket is annoying but not a deal killer. It works pretty well once past these issues, though I’d prefer a design where I don’t have to worry about losing the corrugated tube overboard.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Good reach for pumping without stooping. Moves a lot of water easily, is well made and doesn't leak a drop if you screw in the hose snugly,

This thing works! So easy to use and it doesn’t get clogged with a few weeds or small gravel. I used it again and again. It moves the water super fast.

For stubborn puddles, water build ups around your home, this is a great way to pump the water out but remember, it's for home-use only...... if you're looking to clear water to far away area, might not be for you. I use this to collect rain water from puddles around the house and store it and yeah, it's manual but it does the job and I don't mind the manual work.

I really like how well it pumps out excess water from my boat. Mostly used for fresh rainwater, but there is some salt water, so I flush fresh water through it after each use. Pump seems well made. We'll see how well the attachment between the main body and hose hold up, but so far it looks solid. I would recommend this pump.

Works fairly well but the hose doesn’t connect securely, leaking water everywhere when pumping out water.

I don’t own a boat, and I don’t go boating. What I bought this for was to unblock an outside drain, it it works a dream to remove the water from said drain in to a bucket. Its absolutely perfect for that. Good value for money, easy to use, hasn’t leaked, has the sucking power to pull the water through it, and it seems to be well made. Really happy with it.

Works great but is much larger than expected. I know it says 36" (ie three feet) but still seems larger. I haven't measured it but i expect the 36" doesn't include the top and handle. Perhaps it does, but it feels quite long, and is much longer than the ones you're see at your local outdoor store, which average 24" or 30" in length. Is able to expel a lot of water in one pump, and makes quick work of a 5 gallon pail of water. Quite handy if you have the space for something this large. If you don't, you may want to opt for one of the smaller models made by the same people.
