One dog loved it, the other dog tried to love it
I was so glad to find this toy again. My 15-pound dachshund loved it! He kicked it around using his front legs and nudge it with his nose, playing for hours! First, with treats inside but then he just played with it as a toy without the treats inside. He kept himself entertained for hours in the house, inside his dog house, and outside in the yard. He figured out how to hold it in his mouth by positioning it just right using his teeth and the opening of the “dice toy.” He carried it around with him everywhere and slept with it!My 8-pound yorkie-chihuahua mix tried and tried so desperately to nudge it with her head and couldn’t get it to flip over, she just pushed it but gave up. I think she was too small and not strong enough to make it flip over to allow the treats to spill out.

Noisy fun
I'm a professional dog trainer, and I recommend this to all of my clients. The plastic is really tough, and this is a fabulous puzzle toy. It'll wear the dogs out pretty efficiently, but if you have hard floors, you'll hear them playing with it. Small price to pay to keep your pup happy and entertained!

Entertaining for my lab
Having tried various versions of this toy, the strengths are: can adjust the outflow of treats somewhat, sturdy for rough play. Downside is it is hard plastic so noisy, may scare timid dogs.Would love to find one that is totally adjustable for treat size and softer material to reduce noise.

My Beagle works at this ball relentlessly and it just slides across the floor
This treat dispenser just slides across the floor not dispensing . It will not roll. You can't get it to tip off any of its flat sides. It does not work.

The center post / core is the weak point.
There's a lot to like about this feeder—it's a fantastic puzzle that outlived many, many other toys. Unfortunately, your dog may eventually discover its fatal flaw, so I'm hesitant to give it my full recommendation. For reference, this toy was purchased for an Australian Shepherd.HIGHLIGHTS:• Provides plenty of stimulation.• Appears to provide a genuine challenge.• I found it to be very helpful for dog anxiety!• The exterior shell is very durable.• Usable for treats and meals alike.DOWNSIDES:• It's okay on carpet, but horribly noisy on hardwood/tile.• Using chewy/wet/soft food makes it difficult to clean.• There's a critical weak point: the center post in the core.KRUUSE claims that the Buster Cube is "recommended by many animal behaviorists." I can believe that. The concept is excellent, and it does well with keeping your pup busy for MUCH longer than other toys. It can easily provide an hour of entertainment and activity. This was purchased to help calm an anxious Aussie that struggled with people leaving. When the pup was younger, any departure was met with cries and destructive behavior. A few different strategies were used to help with this, but the Buster Cube was absolutely one of the most helpful tricks, as it acted as an excellent distraction while walking out the door. The cube ended up being damaged beyond repair, though, and the center post is the culprit. It's a little bit tricky to lock it in place completely, because you either have to twist it shut from the outside (which is difficult, because there's nothing to help you rotate it) or jam your fingers into the core and try to use enough outward pressure—while rotating—to lock it. There's just not a good way to do it.Inevitably, the pup figured out how to remove the center post... and after doing that a few times, the post got chewed/damaged to the point where it would no longer lock in place. Taping the core isn’t an option because there is simply not enough of an edge on the lip of the core for tape to adhere to.The SOFT version of the Buster Cube (also made by KRUUSE) might be worth considering. I haven’t used it, so I can’t provide a full opinion on it, but reviews suggest that it’s a good alternative. If you’re looking for a good item to keep your dog’s brain busy, the Buster Cube is fantastic. Just be aware that it might not last forever.

Keeps My Malinois Busy for Hours!
I bought this on a recommendation from a friend after my one year old Malinois had destroyed every other food dispenser I’d given him. He comes to work with me and I try to give him puzzles while I work but he is chaos embodied and destroys every one of them. I gave him this an hour ago and he is still going at it and has not made a mark on it! Fair warning- it is LOUD but totally worth it for the hours of entertainment and durability.

Interactive treat dispensing toy that my dogs love!
The media could not be loaded. We have had these Buster Food Cubes for about a month now and my dogs LOVE them! We got them because our puppy was starting to find things to chew up when she is outside during the day. I did some googling and found good reviews on this item to keep dogs interested and entertained for a longer time. Our mini golden doodle is super smart and FOOD ORIENTED! She will do almost anything for a treat so we figured we would give these a try. We put about a 1/4 cup of kibble in them and shake them around so they get trapped inside all of the holes and partitions inside. The first time we tried it in the house and it took about 15 minutes for her to get the hang of it. It took our large labradoodle a little longer mostly because he isn't so crazy over food! He did figure it out though! BEWARE! If you use these inside they are hard plastic and will bang against any surface the dog uses to tip it over! We use them outside and they get scratched and dirty quickly! But it doesn't affect the performance of them at all! I brought them in to make a video so you could see the dogs working on them! I don't think it takes her all that long to get the treats but sometimes when we get home there are still a few trapped kibble in there. I think our lazier dog just waits until she knocks the food out and helps himself! LOL! Anyway, these are a durable pretty inexpensive treat dispensing toy that also allows them to use their brain! Along with the kong, we use these daily or every other day when we are at work!
