SoundstreamPN1.650D 650W Monoblock Picasso Nano Class-D Amplifier,Black & Silver

Grabbed one of these recently to drive a little 8" Skar box I picked up. I was looking for something that I could mount in a space underneath the rear seat cushion in my car, near where my battery is located. There's not much airflow there, so I needed something that would push good power but wouldn't overheat no matter how loud and long I wanted to listen. Didn't need a 1ohm stable amp since personally I'm not really a fan of 1ohm sound. Higher resistance at 2-4ohms makes for tighter sound to my ears. This has been perfect! The sound quality is great, the amp has a lot of ability to be tuned to a specific speaker/space and install which is great. The price point is perfect as well. Very happy with this amp and would buy another SoundStream amp again in the future for sure.

Ordered this amp on a holiday Monday and it was on my doorstep by Wednesday. Hefty little amp, looks smallish but weighs in at 4lbs 1oz. Looks and feels of great quality, simple and necessary adjustments and features on it, compact and fits easily under a seat or virtually anywhere you need to hide it. Once hooked up this thing is a powerhouse. Replaced an MTX 200 watt rms amp (at 2 ohms) and this thing just powers up my 10” 1500 watt (750 watts rms at 2 ohm) sub amazingly. This amp is rated at 650 watts rms at 2 ohms but according to YouTube reviews and bench dyno tests it’s more like 580 - 600 watts rms at a 2 ohm load. That’s still plenty enough power for my single 10” under seat sub in my Ram 1500 Classic. Lots of other reviews state how it functions well in variable weather environments like we have here in south central Ontario Canada, anywhere from an average of -20C to +30c winter to summer and these amps apparently keep running cool and don’t overheat or blow up. I have to say I’m very happy with this powerful little amp, good amount of power, looks great and is in such a compact solid package, for around $160 you really can’t go wrong with this amp. Pick one up and try it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Don’t buy this amp. 3 years later and it internally failed. Nether fuses on amp or inline with the power cable popped. No sign of issues. It worked then I got back in my truck a hour later and wouldn’t power on. Junk for what you pay.I was iffy buying this amp for my 2 10Inch sub setup running at 4 ohm. But I was quite surprised on how great the sound quality is and how small the amp is. Kicks my RF 325.1 out the door. Gunna swap subs and see how she performs with 2 ohm.
