Master Guide to Drawing Anime, The: Romance: How to Draw the Popular Character Types Step by Step

I hope to collect all these books of yours for learning arts. I have bought two of them already and I’m happy with it. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one

Ok, I'll admit. I'm a massively huge fan of his artwork. Collecting basically all his works in his books. One day I'll actually be able to draw as good as that. Something to look forward to in my retirement years five wonderful years from now :) Thankyou Mr. Hart!!!

Item came super quick! Small damage on the cover but otherwise in excellent condition!The art is super cute and the instructions appear to be clear and easy to follow! There also are a lot of guidance on how to set up a character in terms to plotting a comic story which is nice! I love how there’s are also romantic subplots (for example mystery romance ) also listed in the book.I also like how the author included a mixture of different character types popular in romance anime! There is both sections on drawing both girls and boys which is nice as I find most how to draw books seem to centre around the girls more ! So it’s nice that there is a section on how to draw guys!My one and only complaint is that it’s just centred towards hetrosexual couples and I wish there were at least a few pages that gave basic instructions on how to draw lgbtq character’s together!! Other then the lack of couple diversity I think this book is great for teaching people how to draw characters in a romantic setting!

As per other reviews that made me doubt if I should buy this for a relative, I'd like to clarify that it's a book designed for teenagers as other books from the same collection and it is clearly stated in the description.What made me doubt was that in a review it was stated that there were children characters in romantic attitudes. So, as a teen asked me specifically for this book, I decided to buy it, check it and, if there was something inappropriate, return it.So, from my point of view, the characters you'll find in the book are the classic ones from a high school anime/manga, it's your choice as parent or tutor to decide if you want your teen learns how to draw a couple kissing, hugging or even having an argument.For me, nothing was out of place; it is designed for young people who are learning to be adults and, by my experience, finding your first love or having your first broken heart is part of the process.What I agree with something that was also said in the same review: I also missed the representation of boy and boy or girl and girl couples or different body shapes/ heights; we're in the XXI century and everybody needs to see their selves represented and feel they can also be protagonists of an epic romance. :)About the book, personally I have other books from the same author, (yes, if my relative asked me for this one, it was because she read and used other books I have, and she wanted to improve her skills a bit more - and perhaps she has a romantic interest in the school), and I consider the other books are better than this one if what you're looking for it's to design a manga/anime character or even pets, as every page is a step by step description.This book has the same structure, but I found the descriptions a bit vague.Anyway, for the reaction of the young lady who asked me for the book, I'll just say that, as soon as she opened it, she started to draw her very first romantic manga and she looked very happy. So, I think it was a good present to give. :)

This book series is easy to use and lots of fun. The drawings are simple to follow and the instructions very helpful. The quality of my drawing has improved tremendously. Because of Hart's books I am now ready to start creating my own characters! Thanks so much!

Bought this for my child. she loved it. Has great drawing technique tips and visuals.
