This is a really well designed tripod from Manfrotto but then you wouldn’t expect anything less given their reputation. It manages to balance a light weight design with a surprising stability and holds my D850 (plus lens) with no issues. The ball head is solid and locks tightly and the four section legs are easy to adjust using the twist lock system. I am in the early days of using it so it’s diffficult lt to make a judgement about long term durability but the tripod is well made and feels solid and my previous Manfrotto is still going strong after many years of constant use. In summary I think the design, weight and ball head will make it my ideal travel tripod simply because it performs well in the field balancing a lighter weight (to carry all day) with a solid performance when in use. A little expensive but worth it I think.

Light build .. Heavy Payload.. Sturdy Pod....And a joy to use. Ive tried a real heavy lens on it and have used the tripod on slippery rocks by the ocean and even at odd angles it remains as sturdy as a rock. The only gripe I wish they had included spike feet with the purchase...that would help in sand. Think about sand inside the screw in extension tube mechanism.. Make sure you take time to maintain it

メインのカメラは重く、しっかりとしたトラベル三脚が欲しかったのでこちらを購入。 エレメントよりも剛性は高く重い機材を搭載してもぐらつきはあまりありません。 まぁ４段脚故の剛性の少なさは否めませんがそこは錘で対策をしようと思います。

Manfrotto Befree Carbon GT Sturdy legs and massive head that can hold my Canon 5D + Canon 24-70mm lens in any position. I visited Finland for some pics of northen lights and I didn't experience any problem. I would take in consideration this model if weight is a must, with 1.5kg you have a pro like tripod. Be aware that GT Carbon is the better option of Befree series with a superior head (496) and more height but it's a right choice only if you have large equipment.
