Vacu Vin Rapid Ice Champagne Cooler - Platinum, 44 cm

We've had a sleeve for cooling wine for many years - one which didn't cover the top part of the bottle - and I found it the best way to cool wine rapidly. Had to replace it, as I left it behind when we went on holiday, so picked this taller sleeve, thinking that it should cool the bottle more quickly as the drawstring pulls it tight around the bottle neck. It certainly does; in 5 mins we have wine chilled enough to drink. The next glass is even cooler and the wine stays cold for up to an hour before the sleeve needs freezing again. It folds flat, so takes up very little space in the freezer, and it covers a champagne bottle snugly. I like the idea of having two sleeves to keep the bottle cold and, of course, it's useful for soft drinks too.

i have tried a few different brands for chilling bottles of champagne and this is the best so farthe le creuset one is crap... more expensive and did not really work at all for chilling bottles (only good for keeping an already chilled bottle cold for a short while)takes about 5 minutes to chill a bottle from room temperature to drinking temperaturei like to have 2 of them, that way if i want to chill a bottle of bubbly to be really cold, i use the first one for 5 minutes and then put the second one on for 5 minutes and then you have a really cold bottle to drinkhave bought this again for myself and friends

This thing is totally awesome! I always keep at least two in my freezer as I never know when I'm going to need one. It's so great that a wine chiller for a champagne bottle is finally on the scene, as more people are drinking sparkling wines now and the normal size sleeves simply won't fit them. I also really like the cord that tightens around the top, stopping the sleeve from slipping when it becomes less frozen. Thoroughly recommend for any bubbles fan!

Terrible. Wanted one to take in the garden. Main points, keeps bottle cold for about 5 minutes, but most importantly pick up by the bottle, only my ninja skills caught the bottle as it fell out the bottom. Not fit for purpose.

Great little gadget. I had it in the freezer for an hour, but I think less would be ok, then slipped it on the bottle of champagne and pulled the drawstring right. Four hours later it was still cold enough to drink in our hotel room after driving there.
