Well built laptop table, a few problems, but nothing super major.
This table is well constructed, very comfy. I decided to buy the wood-grain version of this desk, and the grain looks real. On the area near the switch, you can store the light itself. The wrist rest isn't removable, but isn't too high - good for laptops with a thinner tickness and for writing. The light is well made, but I don't know how durable it is. I had to rotate the light part, from the body, to work with the USB input which isn't a good thing for the durability.I bought this device because I wanted a nice, large, writing surface so I can have essentially a table when I'm sitting outside or at a campsite. I haven't used it much yet, and plan to write more about my experiences as time goes on, but it looks like it'll meet my needs well. Not everything is fantastic, though, so I wanted to outline the problems with this table, or things I'd like to see them improve upon.1) The IPAD/Tablet holder is a nice idea, and it fits a tablet quite well. The problem with it is the balance of the board after putting something in it. With a tablet in it, the whole pad becomes very forward-heavy. If you lift up both arms, it will forward. This actually is quite a bad design oversight, because it's essentially a bit forward-heavy given the construction by default. This just makes that much worse. Ideally, the company should have added some denser foam or some kinda weight to center the weight closer to the wrist, that way you can store something like a tablet only, and it won't fall.2) The tag on the back. This probably won't bother most people, but it bugs me. You have to either cut, or rip it off. both which won't totally remove the tag. The tag is white, the pad is black. As you can probably guess, no matter what you do, it's going to remain at least a little. It's incredibly annoying, at least for me, who wants something that's very uniform in color. So, change the tag to black with white lettering, or better yet, don't include the tag and have it as one of the instruction pages. Or if that's not possible, stitch the tag very loosely, so it can all be pulled out.3) The battery compartment really should have padding around it. I get the sense that there's no padding around it, because it clunks when grabbing that area of the pad. Not a super major thing, but would be nice to fix. Furthermore, an enclosed battery compartment would be nicer than the more open design of the current one. Primarily if this gets bumped a bit, the batteries can fall out. I'll probably secure it with a rubber band.I'll probably update this again when I get more of a feel on how long that light will last.

ALMOST perfect for
The media could not be loaded. couch gaming.I searched for days to find a wide memory foam lap desk with a flat surface large enough for a keyboard and mouse. That product doesn't exist unless you buy a desk for a specific keyboard or complicated desk and cushion set. Once I removed the wrist rest on this Sofia & Sam XL desk, it fits a TKL keyboard and mouse fairly well. A couple inches wider (like 24") would be pure perfection. The surface is a nice smooth plastic material that shouldn't warp like wood, and the memory foam cushioning on the back is comfortable. It even has a fabric handle for carrying. If you are concerned that you won't have enough room for large mouse movements, I suggest looking into a left-handed gaming keyboard like the one redragon makes. (See photos)Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. I think this product is fine without modifications for those with laptops. However, for those with desktop computers/TV setups in need of a surface for a keyboard and mouse in their laps, this is the most versatile option I could find. If they made this wider and with a completely smooth surface, I would buy another in a heartbeat. Lighter colors would be welcomed as well.

Perfect size for my Giant Gaming Keyboard! Wonderful quality too
This was EXACTLY what I was looking for!Rather than use a lapboard for Mouse and Keyboard, I use it with a keyboard and ps4 controller, for my PS4 MMO of choice (FFXIV: ARR).Most lapboards are tiny, meant for a laptop or a compact keyboard...My keyboard however is a behemoth "Razer DeathStalker" series keyboard, which sits at around 19 inches wide. (Which definitely does NOT fit most standard lapboards, and also tends to sit right on top of the on/off switch for the lapboards with the USB lights...Nothing like clicking On Off On Off to give you that rave lighting while you type.)The XLG Deluxe lap Desk, without the USB light, was the perfect size for my needs. My keyboard comfortably fit on it with some extra space on the left and right sides. The padding under the wrists and on the bottom of the lap Desk are extremely comfortable memory foam inserts covered by a cloth lining. (Thankfully not those foam beads you see on the cheaper lapboards...Those always end up leaking foam beads everywhere over time)I also enjoyed the padded Phone/Tablet holder at the top of the Lap Desk. My only complaint with the holder is that the padding inserts might cause your fatter devices (or devices with cases on them) to rest at an angle that might be difficult to see. My LG G4 for example, has a beastly Otterbox case on it, and tends to stand straight up rather than tilting slightly back for easy viewing. My solution was simply to remove one of the pad inserts to allow my devices to tilt back at a more comfortable angle. (If you device is thinner than my monstrous phone case, I doubt you will have this issue.)I spent far too long searching for a Lap Desk that would fit my giant gaming keyboard. I stumbled onto this particular one by accident, and I am most certainly glad I did! Superb quality, and the perfect size!
