Sufficient for some fun, which is exactly the goal.So, I read all of the bad reviews, but decided to order. Here are my impressions:Overall, a good quality. I expected to receive everything shaky and cheesy. Not so. Starting from the handle, it is very sturdy with a nice wooden grip, and a short leather strap. Untied the strap and cut it thinner, now it is more flexible and good to hang by.The metal piece screws in to the branding plate firm and solid, tighten the nut and it is NOT going anywhere.The plate and the letters are aluminum, so, do not set them directly on red coal, - or they will melt. But other than doing that, it is not so easy to melt aluminum, so, I am not worrying about this.The letters can be just bit tricky to handle, but only a bit. Don't do it anywhere you would have issues finding them if dropped.They all work, and the spacers work too. The curved steel springy pieces are there to lock everything together. Mine were very loose.I bent them in a way that they become wider and also slightly off-plane, and now when I insert them to lock the letter-work, they stay in very firmly.My only complaint is about the character selection, I felt like there are not enough of some letters, but maybe this is just me.Still could make out: "Eat more chikin", "stay strong - eat pu**y", and so on, you know, the party fun.So, I think that considering the low price, fast shipping and great package, this is an excellent choice for a gag gift.I removed one letter ONLY for not the best character choice. Had there been a better choice or more letters, this would be a straight 5 stars item.

the letters fit a little loose, but maybe that will adjust with the heat after a few times, it came with a couple items that I am not sure what they are for as it cam with no instructions, yes it is pretty self explanatory, but a little guidance would be nice

This was a cute idea for a b'day gift for my grown son. I was disappointed that there weren't enough of the letters that he needed (R, B, E, O). It was a bit tricky to put together so I don't see him using it much.

Easy too set up! 3-5 letters, maybe! But, must be super heated! In a charcoal fire, would probably work better than standing it on my griddle! That’s why I gave it a middle of the road rating! Gonna use my Wok burner next time!

This was the perfect gift for my meat-loving father who is usually impossible to buy gifts for.He loved it and proudly made branded steaks for the entire family. 😁
