Aurora Products Organic Currants, 10.5 OZ

I've been using currants in a cranberry sauce recipe for years, but they've been hard to find this year. I came across these organic currants and decided to try them. These are hands down the best currants I've ever tasted. Dried, but not dried out and really tasty. Like a raisin but less sweet. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Super tasty, very fresh and a great value.

These were flavorful and had great texture. The flavor is very similar to raisins but with a slight tartness like dried cherries. I do feel like they’re a bit expensive for the amount you get, but I think it was ultimately worth it.

I’ve used these currants in scones and oatmeal raisin cookies, replacing raisins. They’re very good and they last a long time

When I decided to make my favorite Irish Soda bread recipe, I could not find currants in my local supermarkets or Sprouts. I went on Amazon, and these were the best deal available. They are lovely and, beyond the bread, I enjoy them on cereal and scones. Very happy with this purchase!

Currants are dried out fruit but these were a little more on the drier side. They still worked well as I used them for French Braised Cabbage (per Julia Child). They do taste better for this particular recipe than using raisins and currants are a little harder to find in a local grocery. I am satisfied with the product but was a little concerned about the manufacture date.

I use currents in a number of thing that I make and it’s great to be able to buy an organic product. They were reasonably priced and good quality. I found them a little dry but I just put them in hot water fo a minute to plump them and then drained them and patted them dry.

These are excellent organic currants. They were not dried out and were delicious in a quick bread I baked yesterday. Organic currants can be hard to find in stores, and I was pleased to find them here!
