Personally, I'd say I'm fairly inexperienced with microphone pop filters, only having two in my life so far (have had them for about three weeks as well, mind you). However, from what I can tell, the foam is pretty decent, not of an incredible quality, but it will definitely not be tearing or rubbing off on the mic. It fits the MXL 770 quite well, not moving or rotating whatsoever when force is applied. The foam came with a small indent but no tears, and I would surely blame that on the shipping, with it having come in the same box as a container for a surge protector. I took a risk with this purchase, with no reviews having been made for it, and as I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product, I would like to return the favor and say that I would absolutely recommend this pop filter for any MXL 770 users who would like a foam windscreen that still maintains the grill's stylish shape.

It works great on my MXL 990 microphone, as it advertises. Seems to be made of decent enough foam. Does the job properly, fits right, doesn't feel cheap, and is reasonably priced.

Turned out 99% fine. Serves as a line of defense. You should get by, but most setups require both a mic cover and a seperate pop filter. You'll decide which. Functionally, this unit is fine,though a little pricey. The issue I have is that it doesn't look as clean on the mic as it does in the picture. It's packaging has it squished flat in a small cellophane bag, so maybe it got morphed, but it doesn't look as sleek as it could. That and it tends to gradually slide down an upside-down rig like a loose old dress sock. Honestly, I wish I'd known before buying this one that MXL makes their own specifically for this mic. You'll be able to find it on Amazon. Hopefully it's packaged better.

When it ships it'll arrive flat and it won't fit very well, but the foam soon relaxes and conforms perfectly to the mic. I haven't noticed any plosives or sibilance getting through, but that's probably due more to careful mic placement rather than this product. Still, it fits nice.

I bought this for my first legitimacy singing venture. With the pandemic and all I felt safer using my own mic, and not being sure of how this adventure would go I didn't want to spend a time of money. Long story short, laid down the tracks, the producer was blown away at the sound quality of the mic! He compared it to microphones of considerably higher cost! Start with this one or at least add it to your collection,you will not be disappointed!

Fit mic, noise level great, quality of item amazing the price great, functionality to my mic performance great.

Total garbage! Not at all like the photos. It is inconsistent in thickness around the circumference, thin, and has a huge crease across the middle. It's with maybe $1.00 at most. Save your money.
