Essential companion for the active investor
The Long Good Buy is a fascinating compendium of facts and analysis concerning stock market cycles, economics, valuations, bull and bear markets. If you are interested in equities, still more if you invest actively, it is impossible that you will not find something useful that you did not know before within this volume. Probably you will learn a great deal that is new. There is no formula for success, and history never repeats itself exactly, but there is no point in not knowing as much as you possibly can about what happened before while you try and guess what comes next.

Essential reading for all investors
A fascinating book which takes the reader step by step through the history of financial market cycles. Peter combines economic and market analysis with observations of investor behavior to piece together the combination of events which can lead to a particular market outcome. The book makes complex market concepts accessible to the reader whilst also providing thought provoking analysis to help take a view on what may happen in financial markets going forward. Students of finance right through to experienced market practitioners would benefit from reading this book.

The best book I’ve read on the financial markets
I thought I had a pretty good understanding of how the markets worked until I read this book. My eyes have been opened and my thinking and calculations altered. So far I have to say for the better! This is not simple stuff but is explained well for the benefit of both sophisticated and the not so sophisticated investor.
