Great saw!
My last Stihl saw cost me over 4 times the price of this Hyundai saw.. I am unable to start a 50cc Stihl saw, being less powerful than Superman. The Hyundai starts easily. Stihl take note. It seems to be made as robustly as other saws. I had a little trouble assembling the chain properly, maybe I should have read the instructions. . The saw comes with all tools, a sharpening file, spare chain, mixing bottle. This chainsaw to me represents superb value, a great purchase, I am very happy and with its 3year warranty, I should be okay for a few years. The saw works very well, better than my big Stihl saw.

Sceptical at first !
Absolutely bloody brilliant saw, don’t take any notice of the negative comments, in my opinion most of the negative comments are coming from people that have relatively little or no experience of these machines, I’ve been working with chainsaws for forty years and have to say I can’t fault this one, I have machanical knowledge of saws and do all of my own servicing and repairs, the build quality is average but this is cancelled out due to the great ease at getting service parts and repair parts, to be honest I have never seen how easy it is to get spares, there is an abundance of everything you need and the crowning glory is they are very cheap to buy!Use case, using this saw is a dream, it starts very easily and cuts through any tree that I have put in front of it like butter, to be fair to the saw it’s been a better saw than either of my Stihl’s that I own, the Stihl’s are expensive to run for parts and can be quite challenging at times to repair and service! In summary I wouldn’t hesitate to get another one of these, it’s become an essential part of my toolbox to manage my twenty acres of woodland.

very good chainsaw
this review is posted just after setting up, not filled fuel etc and used it yet.ok firstly the screw driver that arrived in the tool kit was smashed to bits, luckily everything else was metal so seemed ok. the second this is the chain guard, made out of very thin plastic that is misshapen so on first putting it on the chain teeth cut the side out of it. so first impressions not good.I will revise this once I've powered it up and tested it.UPDATEI have used it the chainsaw and it's very good, cuts well and easy to use.I have contacted Hyundai about the other issues and they couldn't help enough.

Great value chainsaw
Great chainsaw. Starts easily and does the job on any type of timber. Keeping my winter log burner going has just got a lot easier.Needs some simple assembly and a small amount common sense but of all the tools are included.Highly recommended at this point, I’ve used it a dozen times over the last few weeks.

Hyundai 20inch petrol chaisaw
Brand new and unused as yet, so cant give it a full review, however, i will point out, that it no longer has the easy pull decompression valve fitted as originally advertised. It appears that other sellers are still using a generic description saying that it has the decompression valve. Amazon had no hesitation in giving me a full refund after i pointed this out, and told me to keep it as a gift, because it was not as described. I contacted the importer of this model, they confirmed that Hyundai no longer fit it, albeit it looks a great saw with a powerful 62cc engine, feels sturdy and well built, i can only write a full review once i fire the machine into life, but it has brilliant reviews from other users. I would have liked the decompression valve fitted, but no big deal that its no longer fitted, there must have been a technical issue with it for them to have removed it, hence. I am in no position to star rate the saw due to not using it as yet, but i had to give a one star rating in order to write this review. Im quite sure i would have given it 5 stars, but due to the missing valve. I would have dropped it to 4

Just the Ticket!
After the recent storms my old petrol chainsaw was showing its short comings, it was old, kept breaking down and really needed nurturing along ... constantly! So here I was (still am) with a whole heap of wood to deal with, that's where the Hyundai makes an appearance. Having looked around this model seemed to tick all the boxes, albeit cheaper than the 'typical' chainsaw brands that get touted about, this model does not stand in their shadows. Amazon had it at the best price, delivery was quick and it has a 3 year warranty, what is not to like about that?So back to my experience of it. The saw comes in a medium sized box and just needs a little assembly, nothing that someone who intends to use a chainsaw would be unnerved about, if they were then they should not be using it. So first thing was to fit the spike, a couple of hex bolts and the tool is supplied then place the bar on and the chain, which there are two chains supplied. I particularly like this 2 chains, saves having to order a spare as soon as you get the saw. Once all assembled and adjusted, again with supplied tool nearly ready to go. Quick fill up with oil and some 40:1 fuel/2 stroke oil mixture, pump the bulb till its full, brake on, ignition on choke out, decompression pushed in ...... and pull. Fresh out of the box it took a good 10 pulls to get it all started, but after breaks for a nice hot beverage started on the second pull while still warm (so no choke needed). I did have a little smoke coming off the saw body when I first used it, I put this down to oil coatings on the metal parts and on subsequent use no longer there. In use it was great, feels solid and well made, nice and powerful with the 62cc engine, and that 20 inch bar, excellent at this price point. In the first few minutes it seemed heavy, but that is only because I came from a 40cc 14 inch machine, like I said only for my first few minutes after that I'm used to it, it handles well. All in all I'm happy with my purchase, only had it for just over a day and it has been put through its paces, I would certainly buy it again faced with the same choices but I won't have to for a few years thanks to that warranty.
