Can’t imagine going back
I’ve wanted this since I was a kid. Could never justify the price. Finally as an adult I pulled the trigger. I told myself if I wasn’t blown away I would send it back. I have tried to come up with every possible reason to send this back and I just can’t. I fly on this thing. I’ve had it for a month and it is worth every penny. Connected to MacBook via Bluetooth in seconds. The function key and control key locations were an adjustment, but by making the commitment to it I have really increased my overall speed, and not just WPM but navigating my workflow (splitting screens, panes, opening files, etc). If you are on the fence and make your living with a keyboard, then buy this keyboard.

Top-Tier Productivity Gear
No rattle whatsoever, all the keys feels consistent across the board, no matter 1u or 2u or longer. My model is hybrid type-s and I'd say overall noise is on par with genuine MX-style silent switches, which are more silent than many genuine membrane keyboards or laptop built-in keyboards. Software (obtainable through HHKB official website) enables modification of keymap which binds to the specific dip combo in use so one could have multiple custom keymaps at hand. The HHKB layout certainly require some time to get used to, but if you're familiar with touch typing it would probably get better within days, after which one would be mesmerized by being able to not leaving the home row at all. As for gaming, if you're like me playing games in which all of alt, numbers, and the F row are used quite frequently, you might find the layout a bit too cramped and require too many combo keys, though. It's more of a productivity board.

Obviously a niche product, but plenty satisfying
The topre switches are a definite joy to type on. I was concerned that I may miss the clickety clack of my other mechanical keyboards since I got the "silent" version. But these are so tactile that I find myself not missing the sound. This is my second 60% keyboard (my other one being Steelseries), so I'm struggling against a lot of muscle memory. But 30 minutes into my journey, I'm already appreciating the shorter finger travel to the backspace key. And the one-handed fn-access to arrow keys is welcome as well. Honestly, it's really strange going from a glowing, animated RGB gaming keyboard to a black, blank, and non-illuminated HHKB. I had apparently grown accustomed to ignoring my (visually) super loud keyboard! And being able to switch between USB and bluetooth1-4 without taking my hands off of the keyboard is really welcome. If only my mouse could follow suit so easily...

Made for those who love 60%
Very clean and minimalist. For the ultimate experience you have to take apart and lube the Topre sliders and stabilizers. Would have been 5 starts if this came out the box without needing to mod. (FYI modding voids the warranty, so only recommended if you are a keyboard enthusiast and know what you are doing!)

Thocky keyboard
Very good typing experience, hurts my thumb and wrist though. But it is very satisfying to type on so the pain is worth it.

Overpriced
Very good build, amazing tactility, but restricted in customisation and keys count makes that keyboard uncomfortable especially if you use a lot of shortcuts. Didn’t understand default layout at all, why they make ctrl key at left side if almost all readline shortcuts located at left side (ctrl-a, ctrl-b, ctrl-f, etc)? much comfortable to press ctrl with right pinky for that. at all you need both ctrls to be effective in unix terminal. this keyboard promoating like keyboard for unix programmers, but actually suitable only for regular text typing. thanks they add the tool for customisation, but it very limited and I missing mod-tap functionality for example. Better to buy 4 pok3r keyboards for that money
