I had the previous design of the Reliance LL550C 50 Amp connector. Eventually, the jam nut on the back of it failed which left a large crack in the plastic jam nut. Reliance graciously replaced it with this newer design. Even though I had a small failure of the previous design, I feel the newer design cable strain and back-shell water proofing membrane feel distinctly more flimsy. The little clamps that screw together don't seem very solid compared to the previous tension jam nut design. The water resistant membrane part in the new plug seems like it won't last very long before it ages and tears or crumbles. I preferred the older design. Pictured is the failure I had.

Bought this to replace a male connector for a generator cable. Great build quality. Easy to install each cable wire. Good clamping and fits well into a transfer box!

I didn't add my own photo as I would not be able to produce anything that looks any better than what is shown when buying this item. :) It is exactly as shown and described and came really quick! Within two days I received the item and couldn't be happier with the entire process from ordering to receiving.
