Theater Solutions TSS8A Home Theater Deluxe in Ceiling 8" Angled Speaker, White

The reason that I took a chance on this speaker: I have a 7.1 speaker set up on a 12x13 room. Because of the size of the room, I wanted to use inwall speakers to keep as much floorspace free as possible. Additionally, we wanted to keep the back wall open for Artwork etc, but someone told me that the optimal thing would be to use all inwall at ear level, instead of ceiiling for better sound quality. I saw this angled speaker and read that people use it for the front stage when in wall was not practical. I then decided to try these for "Back Surround" speakers, as the angled design should mimick an inwall design. The results have been excellent. This speaker, (as well as all the others by this mfg Theater Solutions) have performed well in both Hometheater and Movie applications. Lots of detai and clarity, great Power handling and best of all, with an 8" woofer, the Bass response is very good for Music 60-80hz, this range covers "popping bass" guitar in Funk Music. I have had friends that have inwalls and complained about the bass response, so I was pleased to find this was not the case here. Since the base response is good in that range, it allows you some flexibility in crossing over your speakers a little lower than other Inwall/Ijnceilings. Certainly, you would need a sub to deal with frequencies below 60hz. (although these go down to 40hz) I consider this a great Bang for my buck purchase. I would recommend this to others looking form quality on a budget. Angled design, and good base response are the highlights.

Installed 3 of these in my living room for front speakers. Once I got them broke in and the home theater receiver auto correct setup these things sound great! They are very clear and get plenty loud with the 80w I have driving them. Was nervous about buying a hardly reviewed product, but the price and specs were excellent so i went for it. Also I see a lot of reviews for in-ceiling speakers note the lack of bass. These speakers have a decent amount of bass to them. It won't rattle the windows but they produce a deep full sound. I don't feel like I'm missing anything even without a sub yet. They are installed directly in the ceiling with a huge attic space over them and no enclosures. I did put a screens over them to keep the insulation out of the components and then put the insulation back over them just to the top of the rafters. Planning to get the angled 6.5" speakers for sorrounds as funds allow. Have pandora and Internet radio on receiver and we can blast some tunes and it sounds fantastic! Tv and movies sound very clear and you hear things in movies you never noticed before. Do no hesitate to buy these speakers. Bought from amazon but they come from onlyfactorydirect.com if you get your serial number off box you can go to their website and register for their LIFETIME WARRANTY. Doesn't get any better than that! The lifetime warranty is what convinced me to click the buy button.

cost us $198 for postage to return faulty product that got sent to us twice more as faulty, before receiving a $20 refund for postage. So $180 out of pocket. Will not purchase from Amazon again!

Awesome speakers! I bought two of the 8” and four of the 6”. They sound great! I had a problem with one of the 8” speakers, it sounded scratchy. I called the supplier and they shipped out a new one the same day! Super happy with the customer service (Kathy) and the quality of the product!

This speaker is exactly what I was looking for, I didn’t even know they had angled in-ceiling speaker until I saw these, I installed this and pointed the angle towards the center, sounds great and got it for a great price from amazon warehouse.
