Sturdy, works great!
So far, so good!I have not added the arm bands to it yet, so this review is just for the stair stepper part. Loved that it came assembled and ready to use. I set it on the littlest it came with, and put it in front of the TV and got to work! After a few mins I could FEEL my legs crying for mercy, lol, and I walk about 10 miles a week. I’m training for a Rim to Rim hike in the Grand Canton, and I wanted something to supplement other training. After using it a few times, for just a few minutes most days a week, I already feel my legs getting stronger— especially my quads!

Good to Know
I use the walker everyday however this complaint are those rubber cords they all broke off at the tip where the strap connects to the key ring at the base of the machine. Now I have no more rubber cords. Be nice if the company included the strap-cords that did not break after repeated use. I would have contacted the company to voice this complaint but was unable to find a link to customer support. For the step machine five stars for the cables included well they are an ideal complement but now that ideal no longer exits because all the rubber cables broke.

Sturdy, but not for a lightweight person
The media could not be loaded. Not for a lighter person. This stepper is very sturdy, however, it has no resistance adjustment, nor does it have the step height adjustment, which many similar models do. I'm 150lbs and my weight is not enough to push the steps down in a streamlined manner. Might get a cheaper model with a lower weight maximum, which will likely have lower resistance.

Had higher hopes for this
This product didn't deliver on the high hopes I had for it. When comparing this with other stepper models online and with a previous stepper I had owned, this one seemed like a great choice. It seemed very well-made and had amazing reviews. Upon receiving the item, however, it was not as well-made as it appeared. Yes, it is a solid machine. But the logo on the machine is not metal; the Nordic Lifting logo is made up of silver stickers that had immediately started to peel off fresh from the box. Also, the machine cannot really be used on a wood or floor tile without the mat, since the bottom is extremely slippery and moves suddenly when stepping off the machine. So yes, including the mat is a nice touch. However, it is really necessary for safety, and not just a "nice to have." My main dislike with this machine, though, is the fact that it does not count each step, as my other stepper did. Instead, it counts every 2 steps as one (for instance, right foot and then left foot count as ONE step). This is a huge drawback for me. Lastly, I am disappointed that the trigger depth for counting a step is so deep. My old stepper allowed you to step quickly and more shallower and still counted that as a step. This one requires you to step deeper, which hence, means you are thus also stepping slower. Some people would prefer to do quick bursts of more shallow steps for theri workout. If you do this, the steps will not register at all. One thing I will say in their favor is that the company included a very nice letter of thank you in the box. So their customer service seems amazing. However, their product definitely needed to be tested more.

Good Value
It’s hard with these exercise units to get something perfect but this unit is well designed and a good value for the money. It is definitely resistant when you first start using it. It takes a bit of balance to get going. No leaks, easy to setup and start using right away.

DANGEROUS!
The stepper is as expected. However the cheap attachments are very dangerous. The plastic carabeener portion is a bad judgement call for the equipment considering the potential for high usage and force to get a good total body workout. They dismantle from the unit upon use. I was severely hurt, being hit in the face and fell off the stepper at the surprise of the ease of the arm pulls coming off and flying about. The equipment is advertised for being able to use all parts and based on my experience it is false advertisement and the company needs to be held accountable for every injury and damage they are essentially causing by choosing to be so cheap with the type of connections. It is not ok that the consumers are having to do unpaid work to trouble shoot equipment that is essentially non functional as advertised. You should not have to hold, move, bend a specific way to MAKE equipment work. I would not recommend for total body work out and the seller and company have earned one less customer because of this experience with this piece of equipment. This thing should be removed from the market and revised given the generous amount of feedback given. Those of us that purchased should be reimbursed for pain and suffering from using the equipment.I would not recommend. I gave the lower part to donation and threw out the arm bands.
