Milton M Style Button Safety Coupler S-99706, Push Button to Stop Airflow and Release Plug, Prevent Accidental Disconnects, 1/4" Male NPT

For years have struggled with the common brass 'pull-sleeve' connector on my pancake air compressor & "inexpensive " air hoses. As I've gotten older it has been even harder; occasionally even preventing their usage. Saw the "safety-style " connector on a YouTube video &immediately began searching for them. NOT cheap like the common connector so I was hesitant to get. I am no mechanic [it's been 56 years since I had Shop class], so I wasn't even confident that I knew enough to order the right male-female & thread style. Yeah, I'm that inexperienced! But I was Really tired of the brass connectors. And in the meantime I convinced myself to upgrade my garage Shop to a permanent air line system. But it also comes with the old style. So I ordered 1! Worked PERFECTLY! This order was for 2more. And I even figured out exactly what size & type I need for my portable compressor & the 'to be installed ' airline system, with a new 60 gallon compressor. Night and Day difference! Price? Yeah, more than I would like to pay, but no more fussing and complaining about ( and even not being able to use my air tools) connecting things up. Stress - down, satisfaction - Up! Worth it! Interested? Give 1 a try like I did. I should have done this YEARS ago.

These are a must have when using an air compressor. The way these work is when you want to disconnect from the air line you depress the button once and it lets off air pressure, the second time the button is pressed it releases and there is minimal pressure if any. This is a much safer way to disconnect from an air supply. These compared to others on the market are heavy duty and solid, very well made. The units from Home Depot and Harbor Freight are much lighter and my guess less heavy duty. I find these to be the same cost as the inferior units.

This is a nice fitting to have on a portable compressor or on the end of a hose you use a nail gun on. I use it on my compressor so the hose does not whip around when disconnected. The description does not show what fitting exactly they are selling. It is for a standard 1/4" Milton fitting, not the Trueflate Milton.

I am glad I got these special couplers from Milton, no more whipping hoses around the shop and a lot easier to connect also,I just hope they are long lasting, that will make it all the better.

What I like. The ease of getting the tool off the line. two pushes of the button and wa la, it is off. gloves, no gloves, works perfectly. What I don't like is some of my brass fittings are really tight when assembling the tool to the airline. Really tight. I think they will break in. No problems with the steel couplings.
