Fantastic winter jacket
Have three of these. Also have two jackets version prior to this jacket. Gore C5 jackets are fantastic. It's good from 7c all the way down to -5 with a different number of layers. I wear it with Endura Baabaa and Isobaa merino base layer,s and it works great. It's breathable to a degree but windproof to keep you warm in cold weather. The material is not environmentally friendly (apparently really bad), but I could not find as good winter jacket.

Brilliant (but not quite what I expected!)
I was looking for a simple waterproof shell, but ordered this. Possibly should have read the description better, note that it has a thin fleecy lining. For a cold day, this is an excellent coat for riding in. Very comfortable.

Superb!
I'm using it currently through autumn and it's great. Most of the time just t shirt underneath. With temperature going down to zero I'm adding extra t shirt but after few miles of biking I need to take one t shirt off as it's too warm. It's not fully waterproof but it kept me dry in most and light rain. Quality of product is excellent. Fully recommend!

Great
Comfy, warm and fits well. Nicely windproof and water resistant. Gore bike wear never disappoints! I’m 5,11 and 40 chest - large fits well.

Faulty zip
The jacket was fine but the zip far too difficult to move; would inevitably have damaged/broken the zip had I kept it. In an ideal world I would have tried to ease it with lubricant, wax or WD40 but I could not risk damaging the jacket in case it prejudiced returns. I ordered a replacement, had exactly the same fault so returned both and gave up.

A sickly yellow hue...
I liked this jacket before I read up on the process by which PTFE (the key component) is made, and some of the not-insignificant carcinogenic and environmental concerns that attend this process. I now see the fluorescent colour as more of a nuclear hue and confess that I shudder a little (partly from environmental self-recrimination, partly from fear for my own health) every time I wear it. I will not be buying this product again but then again. Shame on Gore for mass producing a product that causes such harm to people, animals and the environment.
