Well Made-Versitile-Good Value
The perfect range bag. I looked at a decent number of bags to stow my gear in for trips to the range before deciding on this one. I carry a decent amount of gear whenever I shoot, everything from a large hollow ground screwdriver set to brass and plastic hammers to cleaning kits, to say nothing of the pistols, ammo, extra magazines, ear and eye protection. I also shoot no less than twice a week and most often 3-4 times. So to say I was looking for a well made, heavy duty bag would be something of an understatement. And yet this S&W officer’s model didn’t disappoint. The first thing I noticed when unpacking the thing was just how much it weighed. Between the extra thick material and the heavy duty zippers the bag had a bit of heft. Not so much as I’d worry about it being too heavy to carry when full, just a nice amount of heft, if you will. Upon further inspection I was impressed with those heavy duty zippers which glide nicely on their tracks, and the weight of the material they’re sewn to means there’s not tons of movement when pulling on them, so no real chance of them “biting” the bag and getting jammed. The bag itself has more than enough compartments to hold several pistols, extra magazines, and all of my gear comfortably and without forcing anything. I love that the inside compartments lift out for easy loading. The two “pistol bags are great as they ensure that the guns I put in them won’t ever brush up against anything else. And there are enough other internal compartments to ensure the same for additional guns that I bring. The ammo holder has been a neat little touch. It reminds me of a cup holder in a car. Not so helpful if you’re plinking with .22’s due to its mesh bottom, but plenty useful when I’m training with my .45 or .357. After looking at a good many bags priced anywhere from $25-$130 I feel like this one was a great choice. Well made, does everything I need it to do, and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Great bag however….
Bought this bag April 2024, now let’s fast forward to November 2024. Great looking bag, holds my PPE, 2 handguns (easily), ammo, ton of space, etc. Recently, one of the should strap spring clip buckles broke and its unable to stay in the locked position. Carrying around the bag and walking around with it, the buckle would eventually pop out of place and the bag would drop. See the pictures I posted of the shoulder strap buckle, one that’s locked in place (circled in blue) and the other that’s unable to lock in place (circled in green). This has been my one and only hiccup with the bag. Now typically I would give this a lesser rating due to the issue, BUT, I searched the order that I had placed on Amazon in April and seen that I could get product support. Clicked on the tab, it took me to smith and Wesson customer service phone number, I talked with a smith and Wesson representative. All they required was photos of the defect, and a screenshot of proof that I purchased it through Amazon. No other questions asked and within a week they sent me a new bag. Correct, a new bag! Most importantly for FREE! I paid like $79.99 for it back in April and they just sent me another bag for FREE! Lol I thought they would just send the should strap but it was the whole bag, should strap everything. So now I’ve got 2 bags lol I did explain that I just needed the shoulder strap but the representative informed me that the factory does not store parts for the bags, so obtaining a new shoulder strap just was not going to happen. Even though I’m sure would’ve been a whole lot cheaper for smith and Wesson lol Anyways, just the customer service that smith and Wesson provided, no hassle, is why I’m giving this product a 5 star rating. Hoping this new bag the shoulder strap spring buckle holds up and was just a one in a million defective part with my old bag. Luckily one of my co-workers who I go to the range with had an extra shoulder strap, and eventually I was able to replace the old shoulder strap. You can also buy the shoulder strap for like $15 through Amazon as well. But I’ve got to give smith and Wesson some props for giving me 2 bags for the price of one because of such a minor defect. Now you know what to do incase you have a similar problem. Your welcome.

Best Quality Range Bag on Amazon!!!
This is possibly the best quality range bag available on Amazon today. -High quality fabric. (I am guessing Cordura.) -highest quality zippers and hardware! -Super high quality metal attachment points on the bag AND the carry strap. (Industrial strength Fasteners) -high quality, double stitching on all the seams! (This bag is not only sewn to last, but it was put together with skill) -All compartments are well padded and some are even quilted! -includes an open top internal and removable tote for the range table which includes a hard floor for toting the heavy things, padded Velcro dividers and full height padded, zippered storage on the long sides of the tote. -additionally, there are 2 full size padded zippered envelopes that are independent of the bag itself, for individual storage of heavy items. -a separate brass collector bag with Molle attachments also included. - STORAGE- this bag is ENORMOUS!! A seasoned collector with years of gear will be able to bring it all with you, every trip! I know this review may sound a little over the top, but this bag really checked all the boxes on the quality card. All expectations exceeded.

The perfect range bag
After an exhaustive search for the perfect range bag I settled on the M&P Tactical Range Bag. Now I'm not quite sure what makes it tactical, or makes anything else tactical these days...it seems as if just adding molle attachment strips turns something from "standard" to "tactical". Nonetheless, This is an outstanding bag. Its packed with features that I believe any shooter would appreciate. Padded, removable pistol pouches x2, elastic tool straps, 8 magazine pouches in a front panel +6 more in the carry tote, 2 large front pockets where I keep a small cleaning kit & gun oil in one and keep the other for my keys/wallet/phone etc while shooting. One end of the bag has a large pocket where i keep a plastic organizer for allen keys, small tools, optic batteries, bore sight, etc. On the other end of the bag is a water bottle pocket and another taller slim pocket that holds my stapler and tape rolls. The inner removable tote has removable dividers that separate my ear/eye pro, gloves, mag loaders, and my flat paper and stick on targets sit alongside the tote. There are also two padded pockets in the tote capable of holding two additional pistols. I have used this range bag for a few months now at both indoor and outdoor ranges, for target shooting as well as defensive pistol training and qualification shoots. In my opinion you cant go wrong with this range bag. The only downside is if you're looking for a minimalist or smaller footprint bag...this isn't it. This is a large bag designed to carry multiple pistols and a substantial amount of gear to support a full range session.

Well Made Clone of That "Other" Bag
I'd decided to upgrade my range bag setup - I'd been using a box from another brand, that had a tray, but I felt that it was limiting for what I really needed it to do. I AGONIZED over my decision to buy a range bag - there are so many to choose from, and I think that for a lot of folks, if they don't see anything overtly wrong with something, they just immediately heap on the praise and grant 5 stars to the review. I believe this bag actually deserves the 5 stars. A big concern for me was size - make no mistake, loaded up this bag is a big bag, but I've never felt that it's too big. If you've done your research you'll find this bag is a clone of the bag made by the company whose name you can get by adding 2+3, and 7+4. (I think reviews prevent you from overtly mentioning a competing product.) The nylon is all heavy duty, and the zippers are heavy duty. The clasps for the strap and the loops the clasps hook onto are all metal. The zippers have nice nylon pulls. One thing I appreciate about this bag is the how heavy the nylon is, and the fact that it's padded anywhere it's necessary to be padded - as a result, the bag won't collapse in on itself even if it's empty, and it retains a certain amount of "rigidity" - not sure if that's quite the word to use though. I went out for a shooting camping trip recently, and I had this bag jammed full of stuff: 7 pistols - largest was a big 6.5" barreled revolver, smallest was a 22 semi-auto. Canister of RemOil wipes Full sized aerosol can of CLP 2 small microfiber towels 4 PMags - 30 round size 2 sets of Walker Razor Ear Muffs 4 sets of Safety Glasses Tools - two smalls screwdrivers, 1911 bushing wrench, AR armorer's tool Packets of foam earplugs - probably 20 or so 3 Bore Snakes Lubricants - 3 different types For this trip I packed ammo in a different container, but for a typical range trip where I want to take 1-4 pistols plus ammo, this is definitely a nice bag to have and allows one to do that very easily. Is it big? Yeah - it's pretty big. Do I think it's too big? No, but I'm always going to be taking at least 2 pistols with me every time I go. If all you own is 2 pistols, this bag might be a slightly overkill, but I like it - I'd rather have the space and not need it, and I don't think a smaller bag would have been for me.

I love my S&W range bag!
This bag comes with my any time I hit the range! Previously, I would only take one or two handguns with me and just buy ammo at my local range. Sometimes they didn't have much to sell, if any, leaving me high and dry. The Smith and Wesson range bag solves all of those problems perfectly. PROS- Durability. This thing is made well. It has extra support at the bottom and strong stitching to go with thick fabric. It's a beast of a bag. - Storage. I take a range of guns with me when I go shooting now. In the bag goes three handguns, ranging from pocket pistol to competition shooter, two single action revolvers, one to three boxes of ammo for each of those, eleven loaded AR magazines, six loaded magazines for the handguns, a box of 7.62s, my hearing protection (a small jar of foam earplugs and a pair of over the ear muffs), and my sunglasses. Now that makes for a very heavy bag, but it handles the weight beautifully, even if my back doesn't want to. - In addition to managing the weight well, it has a ton of separated storage, so you can organize well. CONS- It's a bit pricey for just a bag, though you get what you pay for. - A different color option would be nice. The only issue I've had, and it's a small one, was the black bag, in a dim light indoor range, camouflaged a lot of my other black magazines, etc. OVERALL- It's an excellent bag. It does what it's made to do, and it does it well.

Got the "Recruit" version. ALMOST perfect range bag...
So, the two different versions are different in size. The "Recruit" version is smaller. I think the other would be way too large. The bag is big enough for me to put all the ammo I will be using for a typical range outing and a few handguns, but isn't so large that it looks like I'm moving into the gun range. So I think the size is about perfect. It has a sturdy shoulder strap with very sturdy clips. Not plastic and not the small flimsy tin metal ones either. Really large sturdy steel clips. The bag has side pockets on the outside and two side compartments on the inside compartment along with a large compartment on the back and two medium size compartments on the front. Here is where I think some things can be improved. firstly, PATCHES! Come on S&W, get with the times! You have to have the velcro panel in the front and maybe even the sides so we can plaster morale patches all over it! This is probably the biggest let down! There are other range bags that have places for patches, but then they are either way too small or don't have useful compartments. Secondly, you guys should have at least one moveable divider for the main compartment. So if you want to bring along maybe a spray can of Rem Oil or a bottle of militec with you to the range, you can section it off so it doesn't tip over while you're carrying it. It would easily be a 5-star bag with those changes. As it is now, I would say a solid 4/5 for how well it's built and for the perfect range bag size.

Worth every penny!
I wanted something larger and had more storage pockets than what I currently have. My old bag was good and did the job. But I started bring more gear and needed to store things in another bag. Time for something bigger. Did lots of looking around and comparing. This is more than I originally wanted to spend on a bag, but looking at other bags, they were more expensive and did not offer much more other than their name brand. I took a shot at this and am I glad I did! This is a nice size range bag. Lots of compartments. It has 14 magazine storage loops total. That is impressive. Plenty of space for multiple eye protection and hearing protection. Two nice size removable sleeves for pistols. A removable inner padded unit and a mesh bottom bag for shell casings if you reload and pick up brass.(I am always picking up brass on the range, makes reloading a bit cheaper.) I have put everything from two different bags into this bag and now want to get more things to put in it. It is a large bag, to the point where I had to find a new place to put my range bag. All of that being said, I love this bag, glad it took the leap. It is sturdy and built well. It is going to last a long time.

Ottima borsa tattica
Struttura molto robusta. La mia prossima borsa da tiro.
