These are very thick and sturdy and look very polished when put together. It was money well spent and I plan to buy more when I need them. I used these to frame and package my smaller artworks to sell and I'm very happy with how they look. My only complaint is that there wasn't a good way to adhere the backing to the frame that I could tell. Luckily I had some heavy duty double sided tape on hand and this helped make them come together. Overall a good value for the money.

Better than the flimsy mats that come with typical 11x14 frames. But note the actual opening size is 8x10.5 which means you need to trim 1/4" from each side of the 8.5x11 "photo" ... which is just right for printing something on 8.5x11 heavy stock paper with 1/4" margins.

These 11x14 mats with the opening size for regular card stock size paper were great. The packets came with the mats, the backer board and a plastic sleeve to protect your picture. My family loved the way I inserted a poem writen on card stock and arranged it to show through the 11x14 mat. Then I placed it into a 11x14 frame. Those that I did not have frames for, I placed into the plastic sleeves. Looked very professional.
