Violets are normally not that large and do not need a large pot due to their root system. This pot was adequate for my violet and the white compliments the plant itself. I just about killed my violet so, I'm following the instructions and waiting to see if it bounces back. You put the water in the underneath pot and then put the pot that you planted in on top. The water slowly infuses in. I also did water inside the plant itself for the 1st watering to get the root system going again. Just be careful not to overwater in the bottom pot or it comes out of the sides. It actually is a nice system and you don't need to water your violets for a long time. I believe like 10 days.

Very nice pot. I especially like the felt “feet” on the base making it less resistant to scratching surfaces. Would definitely order again.

I really like these type pots for African Violets. It’s self-watering and you hardly ever need to replenish the water inside the out bowl. Thumbs up!

The first pot I received had a defect that made it unable to fit together smoothly, causing an awkward rocking effect. I included a photo (3rd, in front of a dark window) of the gap I couldn't get rid of. I contacted the seller who explained this problem never happened before, and that I should get a replacement, though they also offered a refund. When my replacement came, I was able to smoothly move my entire plant pot over to the new water pot, and it fit seamlessly! Did not even have to move the plant, which I was glad for since that would have been messy for them too. Now that I have the new pot, the system is so smooth and easy to pick up, and the shape is so pleasing. Please note that the bottom has foam legs, and they were misaligned out of the box — but it was a very easy fix, just unstick and reposition. I did it with a wet pot and it still stuck. All in all a beautiful and practical vessel for your prized babies!

Me gustó bastante está maceta. Tiene un buen grosor y el material se ve de primera. Viene super bien protegida en su caja, hasta me sorprendió. Quedé muy contento con la compra. Recomiendo este producto.

Très bonne qualité. Mon épouse était très contente. On en trouve plus au Canada de ces pots troués.

Beautiful pot but unfortunately the saucer underneath was broken. I will keep it though and use something else.
