Used as replacement and they are offered at a good price and well made no issues since installation.

To preface, standard outdoor outlet covers are simple -lift, plug, close. But, they do stick out a ways from a wall, and do not usually come in fashion colors. This style is better looking, and it works, but it's not so simple. Two clips, one on either side of one corner of the box, hold it closed; so, you press from 2 directions and pull up at the same time to get it open. Did that last sentence require too much thought? Yes, yes it did. Once open and with a cord plugged in, it does not pop out to accommodate the cord automatically - I have had to use a screwdriver or knife to pry the plate out when I want to plug something in. It was worth it to me, since I really wanted a more attractive works-while-open cover on the front of the house, but I do wish it was more convenient.

Identical to the cover i was replacing so installation was a breeze. I paid a lot more than lesser priced covers on Amazon but it was worth it!

Installed easily. Just needed screws backed out a bit, and then used eccentric holes to pop into place and tighten it down. Sturdy and looks great and extends easily when needed.

Worked well. Mine isn't fully exposed to the elements, so I can't speak to it weather-proofing.

Lo compré principalmente por el diseño el cual me gustó muchísimo, al menos aquí en donde vivo solo puedo encontrar la típica tapa gris que donde quiere encuentras. Ya en físico el plástico se ve y siente muy duro, es complicado expandirse, hace cuestionar si es útil en verdad la función, por otro lado me gustó que viniese con opción doble (contacto y apagador) para adaptarse a cualquier necesidad, sin embargo considero complicado usarlo como apagador por el plástico de protección con el que cuenta, pero como no lo compré por esa razón no sé si funcionará o no. En resumen me parece un buen producto, con claros defectos pero con una impecable apariencia.

and easy to install

Wish the box extended just a bit more, the accordion of rubber really needs to be yanked forward to extend but will not pop out 100% as it's just a bit too stiff. It was pretty simple to install, I'm using it to protect an outdoor extension cord that is under a covered outdoor area. Having the cord exit hole being fixed on the left is a bit lame, sometimes you want the cord to run to the right of the outlet. You end up having to curve the cord at a clunky angle because of the exit hole being fixed. You can always just cut out another hole on the other side though- it's fixable.
