Christian Potier Bearnaise Sauce, 5.07 oz

Just received the Bearnaise sauce today (12/6/19) and because I recently had purchased bad batch of Christian Potier Hollandaise Sauce (same manufacturer; not necessarily the same seller), I checked the expiration date upon receipt. The packets' expiration date is 12/19. If you don't plan on using the sauce packets immediately you may want to find a different source. I've been purchasing these sauces online from Amazon for a few years without issue so this may be just a recent hiccup, but an expensive one. The Hollandaise sauce had to be thrown out. BTW: I would have left 2 1/2 stars if I was able to, given I will be able to use at least one of the packets.

I didn't realize until a couple years ago that I didn't need to spend $$$ at a restaurant, have to make Bernaise sauce in the kitchen from scratch, waste an opened bottle or use a powder. Now, I simply heat the one small packet per steak for 10 seconds in the microwave. Fantastic!

YUK. Make your own. This is very expense and very low quality. Didn't taste like Bearnaise to me. Thats what I get for being lazy and not just making my own.

I picked this up at Tuesday Morning on a whim and was impressed at the quality ingredients and taste. I am part French and have been making Bearnaise sauce for decades. I have also been to France more than 10 times and have tasted it there, so I believe I know what a good Bearnaise should be. Potier's sauce tastes great, period. Great time saver too as that is one of the more time consuming sauces to make.
