1st set had to be returned as didn't hold vacuum.Replacement works grand so far. Used for fruit salad, marinade and left overs.Sturdy and easy to use. Very pleased.

As a test I found out that it keeps strawberries for over a week which normally go off very quickly.Have to make sure that the lid is well seated in position.Will buy again soon.

There is a bit of a knack to getting these to seal. I find I have to open & reposition the lid a good few times before it finally sucks the tab in to show it’s sealed correctly. When this is achieved they are very useful. They are quite expensive for what they are but invaluable for softer, squashier things that need vacuum sealing.Update:- a good tip is to make sure the food doesn’t sit to close to the sealing button as it seems to stop the sealing action.

I love Food Saver products, and these containers fit the bill. Great for marinating products and storage.

I've bought a few of these with the idea of batch cooking and not wasting food. When the valve on these behave, these are brilliant and food keeps for much longer than usual. Unfortunately, one by one some of the lids stopped working. Of those that do work sometimes they lose pressure after the initial packing. I've spent a lot of money on these, and I'm saddened that they're not reliable, therefore not worth the expense.

Generally, these are good containers and work well with the Foodsaver battery powered vacuum tool. I have 8 of these in different sizes, though occasionally the valve in the lid doesn't work, releasing the air quickly or over a few hours. On receipt, I now test each container by applying a vacuum, leaving for 24 hours to ensure the vacuum is maintained. Initial check is looking at the pop up indicator and then checking the vacuum integrity by turning the valve and listening for air escaping. If the container fails this test, it is returned.When they work, food is kept noticeably fresher for longer. I've stored fruit, such as blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, tomatoes and bell peppers as well as cooked food such as curries and they all keep well.The containers and lids are good quality plastic that is strong enough to hold the vacuum. I wish they would better quality check the valves for leakage, then this would be a 5 star review.
