Fancy Nancy Collector's Quintet (I Can Read Level 1)

Fancy Nancy may seem like it's going to be over the top, too girly and just ad nauseum but the vocab is spectacular and my 4/5 yo daughter uses words like luminescent and iridescent. She has her struggles but in the books is thoughtful, intelligent and kind. All qualities I want my girls to have. And my 5yo is using these to work on reading skills.

My oldest read these as a kid and I am glad they are still around. 13 years later my youngest loves the same things her big sis did! FANCY NANCY FOR THE WIN!!

Great stories that my girls love and good for teaching vocabulary to young girls. People are surprised by some of the words my 3 year old knows from reading these. Our house loves Fancy Nancy!

My 1st grade daughter already has all of the books in this set and really enjoys them, so we knew they would be the perfect gift for her kindergarten friend. The box that they came in was a little bit damaged so we had to throw it away, but the books inside were fine. Fancy Nancy I Can Read books are awesome for exposing little ones to new vocabulary in a fun and natural way. I would recommend them for ages 4 - second grade. This set is a good price, more economical than purchasing the books seperately.

I got his five pack of Fancy Nancy books on sale. It was a great buy!!! My daughter and I both love Fancy Nancy. She loves her because she is entertaining and fun to read. As a mom and always trying to find an educational aspect of a book or toy I love her because she loves to use fancy words and then in the story will explain what the word is fancy for. So for me it expands my daughter's vocabulary along with her love to speak french so even goes a step further to spell out the pronunciation of the word and also give the meaning. Obviously it is not like your child will learn an entire second language but just the fun of learning a couple new words here and there is awesome, in my opinion anyway. I also love how at the end of most of her books, and always in the easy readers, she lists the fancy words in the book and gives a short definition or just sometimes what word it's fancy for. Sometimes you may have to help your reader sound out a word but for me and my daughter, we love them and would highly recommend them.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my cousin's three year old daughter. She loves Fancy Nancy and is learning how to read. When she opened this at Christmas she couldn't wait to start reading one of the books and checked to see if she had read any of the books before. She definitely enjoys it, especially how easy it is to carry around when she is out of the house. It easily fits into her mother's purse. I was a little worried because it said the reading level is ages 4-8 but either my cousin's daughter is learning to read early or these books are great for three year olds too. Either way, she really enjoyed the gift and I would definitely recommend it. By the time our Christmas celebration was done, she had already read one of the books with her mother and was explaining to everyone what the book was about and what was happening on each page. It was so cute :)

I've ordered short books like this before, and the stories have been made so simplistic in order for a child to read them that the stories stop being fun. In this case, the stories themselves are still enjoyable to read, making it perfect for a Fancy Nancy book lover who doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

My niece was super excited to get this for her birthday. She and her sister love Fancy Nancy so she's extra motivated to try to read them herself.

Nice product and design and sticker sheets were also nice but unicorn 🦄 sequins notebook was little small.

My mother purchased this for my 7 year old daughter who is just beginning to learn to read English as a second language. My daughter fell in love with the set since she recognized the character from the cartoon series. The sentences are exactly the right level of difficulty for a beginning reader.

My daughter loves Fancy Nancy so was very excited to recieve these. The I Can Read books are smaller and not as bright and colourful as the original books but have interesting storylines and fancy words. My daughter is 5 and English is her second language but I am sure she will really enjoy reading these herself eventually. The only negative is that these haven't been rewritten for the UK market so I do have to explain some Americam terms to her but I think it is quite interesting and will benefit her when she is older as there are many great American childrens chapter books I am sure she will enjoy later.
