Where will I connect the red detector wire on the vehicle?

If you don't have a reverse sensor wire in your vehicle wiring harness at the radio, I would suggest you wore the red lead to the power wire of the reverse lights. Then you can attach the end near the stereo to the reverse sensor lead of the stereo. This should then change the input of the stereo to the backup camera as soon as you put the car in reverse. If you do have a reverse sensor wire in the vehicle wiring harness to the stereo, you can hook this lead to the ACC power lead at the stereo and feed it back to the power lead of the camera.

My video cable wasn't long enough, so using this to make it longer, do i need to connect the red detection wires together?
