The 4lb. test is Incredibly fine gauge line!
I purchased the 4lb. test line because I wanted to use it for suspending seed crystals in solution, for growing larger crystals; doesn't require a lot of strength, but does require low buoyancy. The line has a medium amount of memory, preferring to somewhat retain the wound shape when off the spool. It was much finer gauge than I was expecting; it could probably service has a button-thread. I'm suspicious it may be flat rather than round, but I don't have a magnifier to verify. Overall 4 / 5

It doesn't have a low memory: it twists all the time
Bad pick for me! I taught it would be better. It twists like hell. So it doesn't cast very well... Buy Stren or Trilene... Way better.

Defective fishing line
The price was great, i put this line on several rods before going on vacation. Luckily we only put this line on half the poles. I was dumbfounded when I tried to cast this 4lb test and the line snapped. I thought there must have been a nick in the line. I rerigged and cast again, and lost my tackle again. The first was probably the same thing, i didn't notice anything when i cast, but when i went to retrive the line was slack and my rig was gone. When I told my mother who was fishing fifteen feet away, the line had also snapped while she was casting with this 4lb line. I've used several different brands of fishing line and never had issues anything like this. I expect 4lb line to brake more easily, but when casting? You can't catch fish without your hook and bait.

Good crappie line
I tried this after struggling with 5 lb. test braid wind knots and line twist. Would not go back to braid as long as price point stays close to where it is now. I used mostly 4 lb for crappie. No more 20 dollar spools of braid for me, but that's me. Others may disagree, but give it a try before you scoff at it. I think this line has less memory that any mono I have used. Strength appears to be as advertised. Knots tie well and the line doesn't turn into a spring like some other lines of similar pound test do when tightening the knot. I have used a lot of different lines in my time. JMHO.
