A refreshing take on how our words and actions have a large impact on our child’s future happiness and success. I have gifted this books many times and will continue to pass this book on. I checked this book out of our library so many times that I finally just bought my own copy. :) Thoughtful and insightful, this book has some great messages about going through life for anyone of any age, but giving your children the gift of being able to put life in a "Danish" perspective will certainly serve them well! Since I read this book for the first time a few years ago, I've seen my older kids shift their perspectives and being able to put the techniques into practice from the beginning with my younger kids, it's been amazing to watch them develop patience, tenacity, and empathy. I even find myself a happier person, communicating better, and with a kinder outlook towards the world after taking the messages in this book to heart and I often recommend it to others!It's a relatively short book as well and well laid out by the authors so it's easy to pick out the key points and refer back to it.
