Very effective. Picks up very well and the quick release allows you to dump all the pick up in a neat pile for disposal or sorting.

This is brilliant! We made a mistake where we emptied the ash from an old bonfire into the garden before realising it contained a huge quantity of nails, screws etc. This picked them all up no problem - was a total lifesaver!

Used to clear our gravel driveway of potential hazards after a roofing job. It picked up stray screws and bits of metal roof cutoffs like a champ at 95% on the first pass.

We have a circa log barn with a lean-to built on it. We took some of the boards and roof off of it due to damage. I needed to be sure all of the old nails and wire was of of the ground so it was safe to walk around or run the lawn mower across. I bought this to help with that. The first pass I made I found 15 different pieces of metal, that could have punctured a mower tire or went through a tennis shoe sole. I ran the weed eater across the area and then made another pass. I found several other barn nails, roofing nails and old fence wire. This area covered about 20 feet by 12 feet all around the barn. This is wide enough that it took me about 10 swaths to cover it, overlapping each time. I figure it paid for itself about 4 times by saving $30-$40 per tire… and many many hours of headaches and mad fits!!! It is a KEEPER for anyone who lives in the country and has buildings or fences to maintain!! Even taking a farm tractor across the area would have been a nightmare!!
