I used this COGAT Gifted and Talented workbook to help prepare both of my daughters for their gifted exams before entering 2nd grade, and it was a wonderful resource. It gave them an opportunity to become familiar with the types of questions they would encounter on the test and helped build their confidence going into exam day.My oldest daughter benefited from using this workbook, and now my youngest has as well. They are both very bright girls, but having a tool like this to practice with made a difference in helping them feel prepared. I would highly recommend it to any parent looking to support their child as they prepare for gifted testing.

Great book! Gives you something to aim for when it comes to developing your child's logic and problem solving skills. No matter what you learn in life, those two are the most important skills and knowledge you can teach your kid. Even if they are not getting advanced scores, the problems can be used outside of the age range recommended. Make your kids exercise their brains!This book shouldn't have shipped like this. There is a cut through the cover and into a few pages. I kept it though because I didn't want to go through the whole process and wait more.

I purchased this to prep my daughter in 1st grade for the COGAT. We started working on a few problems per day in October and she was tested in January. I would have her talk out her thought process after each selection and give her immediate feedback on whether her choice was right or wrong. She scored between 93-99 on all of sections of the test. Her now gifted instructor was very impressed with her performance and this workbook was all we used.

Book is colorful, made of good quality paper.Everything (directions for the different question types with examples) is explained very well. Questions are pretty challenging at times, which is good. The book comes with 2 practice and one test.The few things I would like to see changed-Have a scantron or something at the end of the book so, kids don’t have to mark on the bubbles on the actual question, and maybe have an additional test. Little pricey but was still worth it.I used it for helping my kid’s prep for their CoGAT (the exam format) and more for road trips to keep them busy outside of puzzles and coloring.
