Genuine Dyson DC33 Switch - 918989-02

Sorry I tried to post a video but it didn't work. Anyways, my power button wouldn't stay on, major pain to hold it while trying to vacuum, and duck tape only last so long, lol This part fit my dyson, was super easy to replace, and works like new.I googled it, watched a short video and decided to order it. I saved myself hauling it to and from a repair shop & a bill.You pull off the collection bin, lift off the hose/handle take out a few screws that are behind the power button, slide that area off. You'll see two wire clips, slide them off the old and onto the new one and put everything back. I did the complete repair in about 5 minutes. Do yourself a favor watch a YouTube video and it's super simple! So far I've power on and off 30+ and everything works!

I prefer to do my own maintenance work whenever possible. Nowadays that means searching the net for a video solution detailing "how to" fix my Dyson vacuum cleaner. Ok, I found a solution on the net and proceeded to disassemble the entire vac as shown in the video. After a complete tear down I came to realize that the issue was the on/off switch.... Ouch. So I ordered this item as a replacement and it easily resolved my problem. Honestly, to send a 20 year old vacuum to a repair shop, if you can find one, was unrealistically expensive and NOT an option for me any way.This item solved my problem and honestly I should have got out my DVM and checked the switch FIRST instead of tearing the whole vacuum apart... I would HIGHLY recommend this switch for anyone needing an inexpensive (OEM) product that takes minutes to install, is reasonably priced and works !!

I was never so happy to find this on Amazon. It was cheaper and I was able to install it myself. I didn’t have to travel to a Dyson dealer for repair, since I live in a route area.
