Bought these probably 10 months ago and the prong broke; how do I replace them? I loved them.

Is it supposed to be covered in grease and a clear liquid substance???

Ours did NOT have any grease nor did it have any liquid on it. It did have a plastic cover over the cutting edges and was in it's own wallet like container. It is extremely sharp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does this have a mechanism to hold it closed, or is it always open?

The cuticle nipper has plastive cover, it can hold it closed and prevent to be hurted.

Can the cutting blades be sharpened (by user) once dull?

These that I just ordered are very sharp, can’t imagine having to sharpen them. I think Revlon has a life time warranty
