The leather backing is very soft and supple and there's a good inch of fur
Very impressed with this hide. The skin is not quite as large as described but the quality more than makes up for it - especially in this price range. The leather backing is very soft and supple and there's a good inch of fur. No holes or bald spots and the color consistency is very even (similar to the picture). It's perfect for laying in the recliner and almost a shame to have to cut it up. Shipping was surprisingly fast. Am ordering another one - they're that good.

Fairly certain this is fake
Fairly certain this is faux leather. The color is nice and its definitely useable for some cool projects, but I dont think its dyed leather like I expected.

I ordered shearling from Reed and another place at the same time. I have to say I will always shop from Reed from now on. The size and quality are great for the price. I would recommend them to other leather workers and friends.

Color was not as depicted.
I purchased the green exotic leather. The color that arrived was more of a pastel faded green which was unusable for my project.

Wonderfully soft leather.
I didn't care for the color, but the price and weight was great. If I need more in the very near future, I'm buying more than just one piece. I don't know if I'll use all I've got now, but will try to find a few other projects that requires this weight of leather, or I may try to make a duster and re-dye it black.

Awesome hide comes with wool/fur on, like picture. hide is in great shape no holes or thin spots, other then what is naturally on the animal. skin side is a smokey brown. 10 out of 5
