Teach Like a Champion Field Guide 2.0: A Practical Resource to Make the 62 Techniques Your Own

Love this book, use this with my trainee teachers to support their use of TLAC

I have purchased other Teach Like a Champion resources, such as the second edition of Teach Like a Champion and the first edition of the field guide. Here's what stood out about this book compared to the others I have in my library. The overviews of the 62 techniques are short, clear, and to the point. They give you the information you need to take advantage of the resources. As a veteran educator, this book has given a lot of good new ideas for how to improve my Checking For Understanding techniques such as Show Me, the Culture of Error, and Planning for Error. I also like the planning templates for the different techniques because they include lots of helpful planning reminders (that appear as checklists, prompts, and so on). This book includes a lot of new content compared with the first edition, including many excellent teacher handouts and videos that aren't in the other products. One of my favorite features is that the authors also include notes for each video and case study, so I can compare what my reflections with theirs (which has been enlightening!). The one tiny suggestion I'd have is to maybe bring back the chapter overviews from the Teach LIke a Champion 2.0 to kind of tie techniques that are related together, but honestly that is a very minor thing. Overall, this is an excellent handbook that I plan on using and referring back to throughout the year.

Everything this guy writes is gold! I love the way he gives you strategies and techniques with ways to implement them in your classroom. I highly recommend for teachers looking to spice up their day to day.
