Not what you want to prepare for your PLABs!
Got this book as a practice aid for PLAB 1, given it had a number of good reviews. I'm afraid it's the most utterly disappointing and useless "medical" book I've ever bought (I'm an ID and GIM consultant in my home country... so have been practicing for sometime now). Reasons:- Basically, a group of PLAB candidates sat down, typed away whatever they could remember from the exam and decided to put it up for sale. This is a form of fraud called plagiarism!- There are PLENTY of mistakes in their alleged right answers and explanations, not to mention their dreadful grammar which at times makes it impossible to understand what they tried to write- Useless index, so not handy if you want to focus your review sessionsThere are many other resources, including the Oxford Handbook of clinical medicine and its accompanying assess and progress questions book, or BMJ's OnExamination webpage. Safe yourself time and money to prepare for this crucial exam by trusting in reputable academic material!
