Not Goos
The recipes in this book are hard to follow and include ingredients that are hard to find. This book wasn't very good. There are much better ones out there.

Good quality print and photos
This is a good book, and many pretty pictures, but there are few oils difficult or expensive to source which are in most of the recipes.

Excellent Essential Oils Usage & Recipes book - One of my Favorites!
I have LOTS of EO books - but find myself turning to this one most often. A couple of reasons for this. 1.) The author has done an excellent job of describing each of the oils noted & in this book. The in-depth descriptions of each of oils (what they can do well) are interlaced with short narratives on relevant research studies and historical usages. The descriptions are relevant to why you would select that oil and what it in general blends well with. 2.) The sections are very well organized & easy to find what your after. The general information is relevant & good without going over-board for users that have read all that before. I did really like the delivery pathway & Electro effects diagrams! Wonderful way to show how things work! I am not crazy about the cooking section (not into that) and generally skip this section. All the recipe sections are again well organized and provide good descriptions on what the blend is intended for and briefly why the oils were selected for the blend (ie. 'potent anti-microbial' etc.). I really like to see why the oils were selected for a particular blend vs. just listing them out.If I were remaking this book I would add short headers before the in-depth descriptions with quick relevant facts:>Shelf life.>Blending notation (ex. Citrus, Top Note)>Indications or Most often utilized, Recommended for: (ex.. Immune Stimulant, Anti-micro-bacterial, Depression, Acne et).>Author Recommended synergy combinations & generally blends well with xy&z.Remove the repeated section on "Dispense one drop on a cotton ball" & put this general paragraph in the how to use sections, OR put something about what you should note relevant to this particular oil when going through this exercise. The pictures and layouts make this book a pleasure to read in-depth or just peruse for the fun of it! Excellent book for both new or more experienced users. High Recommend & hope to see future books from this author!
