I love the consistent production quality of a product.

These filters work perfectly in our Technivorm Moccamaster, and we have been using them for several years. Also, paper filters remove coffee oils, which contain cafestol, the most potent dietary cholesterol-elevating agent known, according to researchers from Baylor College of Medicine. My doctor knows I don't want to take statins, but my cholesterol had been borderline high for years. We had been using a drip coffee maker with a mesh screen permanent filter rather than paper filters for many of those years. After five years of not having my cholesterol checked following two or three years of using paper filters in our Moccamaster, my doctor told me that I didn't need to do anything -- my numbers were fine. I'm attributing that to filtering out the cafestol from my coffee.

These Melitta coffee filters don't fall apart or collapse, and side by side, my coffee tastes a little better than it does with the no-brand filters. I bought a small case on Amazon because the price was excellent, and now I don't have to worry about running out. Highly recommend these filters, there IS a difference.
