Half of the activities were not very engaging. Children need a lot of help and interaction with it, unlike a lot of other books which you can give them the instructions for and they are mostly good to go. Pictures of superstitious creatures like "ghosts" and "aliens" become a child's reality, or sets them up to believe it later. These lies are particularly concerning because so many grown adults actually believe in them so it can contribute to setting children up to be genuinely confused about reality later as it is pumped into them from enough angles already. PRO: Clear beginner tracing of numbers, but only a few for each number.

I purchased one for each of my twins (4 years old). We try to go through a few pages each week. It's a good time to slow down and work one-on-one with each of them. The book is great quality. The price range is perfect. Once the kids have worked through a few pages, they begin to understand how each activity works and can even do it on their own if needed. I have found the work to be skill based (coloring, cutting, glueing, etc.) vs. academic (numbers/ letters) which is perfect for this age.

Great for preschoolers, my 3 year old loved it

If your kiddo is advanced academically, then this product is not for you. If you have an average 3 year old or an advanced 2 year-old, then this product is great. It won't last a year, but it will give them a good start on their academic journey. I love this brand of books and use them for my 3 year old while I homeschool my older kids. It includes a good mixture of activities such as matching items, identifying what is the same or different, tracing the first few letters/numbers, cutting things out with scissors, gluing things, drawing through a simple maze, identifying colors and shapes, etc. The activities are colorful and very cute, and they are tastefully done. My son loves them and is always eager to do his school work! Do keep in mind that this is not a book that you can give to your child and expect them to do on their own. They will need a little guidance before doing each activity.

This book has been so great for easing my three year old into a school routine. She loves how much she can do the work independently with just a few directions from me.
