Won't be snatching any Glory with these!! Lots of duds here..
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. After 30 years of playing clarinet, I finally found one reed I couldn't vibrate at all. In this "glorious" pack!!The sounds these reeds make will curl your ears and churn your stomach. Absolutely no deal here.. regardless of price!--Beginners-- will find these reeds next to impossible to control and advanced players will sound pretty bad also. So, what's good? Nothing.. here is the bad:- Lots of duds. 1 reed wouldn't buzz at all because it wouldn't contact the mouthpiece. See pic- Wildly uneven resistance. 2 or 3 were very heavy.. close to 3.5+ strength. A couple were too light even for beginners.- Misshapen and ragged reeds. Lots of obvious defects- 2 or 3 Green looking reeds that were not dried properly... one had a weird dark spot.In general, these look much better than they play even despite all the obvious defects.I recorded a sound test against an old Vandoren reed (about 4 months old)... and even though I tried very hard to make these sound good, it's impossible.Out of this box of 10 reeds, maybe 3 or 4 would make sound for a beginner. The rest is a waste. It's better to order a sample pack from Vandoren or D'Addario, or a box of 5 reeds. At least they all will work and last 10 times longer than these (if taken care of properly).

Impossible to play
I got these reeds because they were cheap, thinking “all reeds are just cut wood, right? How different could they be from the more expensive brands?”Well, I guess I found out the hard way there is a reason these are so cheap.I normally have no problem playing a size 3, but these reeds were so incompetently made that they could not produce a single sound. Not even a squeak! (Quite impressive considering how easily clarinets squeak).Very disappointing quality, even for the amount I paid. I would expect a product to work–if even a little bit–before it is sold to consumers.

Why so thick?
I've always used size 3 RICO brand reeds, but decided to try these because apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. I can't seem to get a good picture to show how much thicker these reeds are than my RICO reeds, but they are so thick that they barely even fit the clarinet at all. If I had to open my ligature any wider the screws wouldn't be able to reach to hold it together. I also can't put the mouth piece cover on with these reeds on since the whole setup is then too large for the cover to fit over it.I've only started the break in process with half the reeds, but already 2 out of 5 appear to be duds with way too sharp of a curve. Maybe it can be fixed, but it might not be worth the effort for these reeds. In the end I won't have saved money by buying these because I'll soon be too frustrated with these garbage ones and end up buying the good ones too.

Maybe a bad batch!???
I have been buying brand name reeds for 2 of my kids clarinets. They are not cheap. I found these and for the price I figured I'd give them a try....well my kids. LolFor starters, we did not like the fact it does not come with a holder for an extra reed to carry as a back up. These do feel thinner than others......and with them being thiner well....in 2 days 3 reeds chipped. With my oldest using one of these reeds she was getting so frustrated because it wasn't working right. The sounds were awful coming from her clarinet, and mind you she is really good.I'm giving it 2 stars, reeds are packaged well when we received packaged and for the price it was a really good deal. Not sure why these reeds didn't work out well for us. But I guess these are going to be a hit or miss.Back to the expensive ones now.Good luck.

Like I said above she only used 2 reeds out ...
After having these for one month all of the reeds turned moldy! My daughter only got to use 2 reeds out of the pack. I bought these on a spare of the moment when my daughter told me she was all out and had a show coming up. They were cheap as it was before pay day so I just got them. NEVER again. Like I said above she only used 2 reeds out of the pack before they turned moldy!! I also bought a pack for her Sax in this case she never even open the box. So I told her to give me the Sax reeds and low and behold they were all moldy too and were never opened!!

do not recommend
i have played the clarinet for 4 years now, and i do not recommend. i decided to try out a different brand- i normally use the Rico brand. i can not get out a sound at all, i come out VERY flat when playing, and they are simply WAY to hard for a 3, and i would hate to be a beginner playing on these reeds. i will not buy again, and i will stick to my normal brand for now on. price wise, they are good but- not playing wise.

Change the branding on the reed
They have brand stickers on them that I didn't know it was a sticker since all the reeds I have ever used had been stamped so it was kinda nasty to have to pull off a saliva soaked sticker

Case doesn't work
You must store reeds safely so that they are not damaged. The container these come in doesn't work well. It doesn't stay closed well. It's frustrating to open - with a wrapping of low quality tape holding it closed. Once the tape is removed it's just sticky, but doesn't have a way to re-close and stay closed.
