Swiss+Tech ST50041 Micro-Light LED Flashlight with Key Rings, Varied Colors, For Auto (Single Pack)

First, let me clarify that the Swiss Tech Micro-Light Ultra LED Flashlight that I ordered, is NOT the one I received. The one i received is the MCSS. The one I ordered has a different picture, but the [...] price was too good to resist. So, this review is for the MCSS I received. Great price first of all. Whether it stays at 2 bucks a piece is another matter. One of these went through an entire laundry cycle with the battery in it and came out working. There is no permanent on setting which I like because the models with the click switch or slide switch often turn on in your pocket and your battery just runs out. This little flashlight doesn't put out a lot of light, but I find it sufficient for most tasks a light this small would be used for. There is a sturdy key ring, and the light is a little larger than a quarter all the way around and about as thick as the small plastic case a compact flash memory card comes in. The light is turned on by pushing the soft button and goes off when you let it go. For 2 bucks, I think it's the best light for that price.

This compact Micro-Light Ultra Keychain is absolutely amazing. I was unsure of whether or not the light would be strong enough like a regular flashlight but I was wrong. This is perfect for your keychain/pocket. I am ordering more of these because they work so well! Not cheaply made either. They are pretty sturdy

This is fine, guess it would work better on a stretch cord if you are expecting to see a key hole while using a key sharing the same ring. Bright light, easy to, find, to grab and press, light weight and helps in a pinch to help you see all the steps, rocks ect.

Small and BRIGHT, but a tad expensive. Eventually the rubber button dries out and it becomes hard to activate the light. I found an alternative for less money, but not near as cool looking. I knocked this one for price, but I'd buy again. Class and cool is worth a buck or two extra.

Purchased in 2014 march. two. Both stopped working in april 2015. Here is where the problem begins with the CR1616 batteries. This item is advertised with 100k hours of led light life. But not so much for the batteries. CR1616 is not readily available even at places that stock odd size lithium disk batteries. The three microscrews and fittings are a challenge. Unless you have excellent hand eye coordination and are comfortable working with watch or jewelry repair tools, I would urge you to consider another device. The design may be attractive but the usefulness is not. If you buy as a throw away {do we really need more of that?} well ok. But if you want to get past even a hundred hours of use, consider other alternative.

I was looking for a light weight compact light for camping purposes, and came across this product. I liked the price but when I received the light, I discovered it was a push on only light that cannot be locked on (my mistake for not reading up on it more) which is not very useful for hands free rummaging through packs at night. The rubber push button came very stiff but with a little tinkering you can make it more sensitive (I ended up making it too sensitive and now it comes on with barely a touch!). I liked the metal case around the plastic housing (not light, but tough) but dropping my keys on day the small ring holding the light to the split key ring broke off and I almost lost the light (not that big a deal as you can tread the light directly to the ring,but still cheap construction). The low star rank on this item is more for the fact that there are better products at just slightly more cost, like the Photon II light (around $9?) that do the job much better. The photon II has push on as well as a locking on/off switch (a tough switch, but that is a good thing since it prevents it turning on in your pocket or pack!), has a nice tough case, and runs forever (according to my brothers light of 2+years). I think that is a better product for the money over this product-spend a little more and get something that's going to do the job right and last.

This is a typical key chain light. It has a momentary switch, and it's somewhat hard to hold down. It's bright enough... I think it uses the same LED as all the others this size. The small ring that attaches the split ring to the light chassis bent, and I nearly lost the light. Overall, this is an option, and is worth the $5. However,I don't think its any better than the cheapo imported models for $2.

If you're like me, you have many friends and not enough cash to buy them all a Christmas gift. You should really consider these key-chain flashlights. They're durable, bright and at a great bargain price.
