Functional, good for the price
The air cooler works well for the size and price. It helps to add ice cubes to the water tank to chill the water (then as they melt, they replenish the water as well). I turn it on about an hour before bed and it makes our room notably cooler! I have been turning it to low while we sleep, and a tank will last the whole night. The fan is very quiet. When the evaporative cooling option is on it is fairly quiet when the tank is full, but the sound of running water gets louder as the tank becomes empty. The remote seems cheap, but it works, so can’t really complain. It would be nice if the cooler had wheels so it was easy to move, but it is light weight (even when full of water) and there is a convenient handle in the back to lift it... So could be better, but is completely functional and easy to move with one hand.Beware of water leaks! I don’t think my device is leaking, per se, but when I refill the water after the device has been running I think there is a chance for water to drip out. This is not a malfunction of the machine, but something you need to look out for. I keep my cooler on a bathroom mat just in case now.

Good little cooler
ETA— I returned this item. It did not cool as was advertised. It did not at humidity to the air. It was a really expensive fan. Return was way, and I got a window AC unit instead!I have been waiting for this item fir about a week, I thought it would never come! And I only say this because it’s been a little warm in North Texas at night. Needed an energy efficient means to cool my room, we have an AC is it but the bedrooms don’t cool at all. This is the perfect size, and blows as well as my oscillating fan from Walmart. I like the fact it also humidifies the air, its been a bit dry and I need the added moisture with my allergies. Set up was easy, it was packaged well. Only thing I would change at this point is I wish it was a bit taller, otherwise it’s positioned well enough that the fan blows directly in my face. Yes I am that person! I bought a personal one last summer, and it worked well enough as long as it was on me directly, purchased this one hoping it would cool my entire 12x13 room. I do t have the ice packs in it yet. Fingers crossed that will improve the cooling ability.

Works great so far
So far this seems to be a nice system. We have a shed in the yard that we turned into a kid's room (about 12x12) and we use it to cool that in the summer. It does a decent job of keeping the room cooler than normal (not cold, but a noticeable difference). Using the ice packs and water definitely makes the air cooler. I consistently measure air coming out of the unit below 67 degrees. It has a few options which are nice, but no must-haves. The fan rotates, it has a sleep mode and lots of adjustable timer settings. I do like those but usually, we just turn it on when we're in there and off when we're not. Using the "cool" option, which uses the water/ice packs is definitely the best option, however, for me, it's a little loud and not ideal if you're wanting to sleep near it. It's not awful, but you definitely hear it. I only have two minor complaints. First, the remote is a tad cheap. It a simple design, think Apple, but it feels like the back will likely break at some point. And, when it arrived, the top has some minor scratches on it, likely due to the packaging. I wish it would have come with a plastic film on the top. Not a big deal but for the price, it would have been nice. Overall, this thing works well and helps cool down a small/maybe midsized room.

Portable and Efficient... a Lifesaver !
The media could not be loaded. This machine is exactly what we needed during a period of unusual circumstances that also corresponded with a heatwave. If a certain area of your home needs to be cooler than others or if the air conditioner dies at your home and you desperately need some cool air, this ComfyHome portable cooler does the trick. We have posed it next to a yoga mat in the first photo so that you can see it's easy-to-handle size. The cooler comes with 2 small ice packs that you will want to keep in your freezer in case of an emergency or when you are planning to use this. The item also requires the user to pour some water (less than 1 gallon) into the reservoir. The reservoir is a drawer that you pull out on the back. There is a small lock to turn sideways which lowers a little locking peg and then the drawer can be pulled out. This drawer is where you place the ice packs and the water. Despite having a water softener in our home, the water in our area is heavy on minerals, so we have bought some jugs of distilled water to use. So far, we have been able to plan ahead for our use of this machine, and that gives us time to put the jugs of water in the refrigerator ahead of time. We figure that the more already-cool or cold products we use, the more efficient our machine can be. NOTE: you also have the option of putting ice in the drawer to get more cooling. However, in an emergency of course, add cool tap water and some ice from the freezer of your refrigerator and you are all set. We are extremely pleased with our purchase and would buy this again. It's nice that it is a clean and modern design, but when we need it, it could be any design and we'd be happy to have it. The machine is very quiet when it is running, so anyone should be able to sleep with the very gentle white noise hum.

As expected. Thank you.
Just received yesterday. Put 3 prepared frozen water bottles and water into it. So far so good, much better than the tower fan.
