was going to purchase these, but now that I see they come from China it's a hard pass. USA made for me from now on

Not sure, but the container bag indicated that it was manufactured in the People Republic of China (PRC).

Can these be eaten by humans?

I would not eat them. My dog's have eaten the mealworms that have been left outside for wild birds and they were fine.
