The built-in Non-Dispersive InfraRed (NDIR) sensor provides long term stable monitoring. User can set 2 sound limits: upper & lower limit. It has an audible & visual sound to give warning when CO2 concentration exceeds the limit. No proper calibration
This would be a good and useful device, but the information about calibration and the manual calibration procedure do not make any sense. So, depending on how well the factory calibration was carried out and how long the device remains calibrated, it may show reasonable numbers, otherwise, it is not more than a toy.The instructions explain that there are two modes of calibration:1) automatic baseline calibration, which is always on by default: according to the instructions this "is to calibrate the meter at the minimum CO2 reading detected during 7.5 days continuous monitoring (power on). It is supposed that the ventilating area exists [sic!] fresh air with CO2 level around 400ppm during a period of time" Of course this is completely useless, since no-one can guarantee that there will be air with 400ppm but not less at least once a week.2) manual calibration: again this requires a reference CO2 concentration of 400ppm. They suggest to do this outdoors, but of course unless one has a nother meter, there is no guarantee that the concentration is 400ppm and not significantly more or less. Also, this device only works when connected to the mains adapter so it is hard to do the calibration outside. Also this kind of calibration needs about 30 minutes to be carried out.Also, they do not indicate how fast the device can be expected to drift away from being calibrated.

Has worked flawlessly for 2 years and counting
This product has worked flawlessly for me over the last 2 years (has been on and in active use every day for over 2 years) very pleased. Very sensitive; breathing near it starts to raise the level and using a soda stream near it sends the level very high and sounds the alarm.

Basic accurate CO2 monitor
CO2 monitor, works well, fast start up, doesn't have any additional functions seems to be pretty accurate.

I would not recommend this item. Within a few weeks of purchase it developed a fault - resulting in it becoming unuseable.
