Great for a 1-3 cylinders
I used this for my 1982 XR200, it's has a 2.6"(65.5mm) wide cylinder. I probably honed for around 45 seconds total and the stones have noticeable deterioration (mostly on one stone), I can probably use then 2 more times. It won't do a big block V-8 but it's perfect for a one-off type job.I soaked the stones with oil, set the tension spring to it's softest setting, put some more oil in the cylinder and honed for 30 seconds then another 15 after wiping clean. It put down a good crosshatch. Watch a youtube video.Unfortunately the hone uncovered some deeper lateral and vertical scoring that needs to be machined away so I will have the cylinder bored. The honer did a good job, the machinist was "impressed" when he measured the bore after my hone job. It did not taper and my cylinder was still very, very close to stock tolerances, minus the scoring. It would be difficult to remove lots of material with this honer.

Worked well but soft stones
It did a good job as a glaze breaker but in honing one 4 cylinder engine the stones were worn to nearly nothing. No way I could have completed a six or eight cylinder engine. Seems to be well constructed and worked fine, just be aware that you might want to have a second set of stones handy.

Ok
This was not the best I’ve owned but it is not far from it. Cost was fair and the value was as expected.

Junk
I never leave anyone a bad review, but after buying this thing to deglaze the cylinders on my irreplaceable 1976 Corvette engine, I am irate! The thing basically ruined my engine and deemed it unusable. It doesn't lock into any set position on the tension, and it wants to tighten up while in use, and one stone wore out, while the other two hardly ground anything. Needless to say, my cylinders are trash now, and it's going to cost me alot of money and time to find anything like it. I'm not a happy camper.

Lasted for 2 of 4 cylinders I purchased it for.
I bought this to deglaze 4 cylinders on a 1500 cc triumph spitfire engine.1- The stones did not wear evenly, one wore out well before the other 2, I was not able to complete the engine with the stones provided.2- Because I was in the middle of deglazing, I went to the local parts store to get replacement stones from a well known brand. I had to file some of the material on the tool to get the stones to pivot properly in the tool. This was not the fault of toll, just the circumstance. If the supplied stones were more durable, item 2 would have not been an issue.
