Uneven quality
My first purchase of this product was a good experience. This latest purchase was not. The texture and scent are different and it stings my face.

Strong cream that makes a difference, but not okay for sensitive skin
I am extremely careful about what I use on my dry, sensitive, aging skin. I typically only use very high quality products that are fragrance, gluten, soy and irritant free. I am very happy with the intensive moisture balance moisturizer I have been using for decades so while I am always open to trying serums and supplemental skin care products, I don't typically mess with my moisturizer. I decided to give this cream a try because I noticed that it is carried at several of my favorite skincare retailers and I figured with such a high price tag, it would be worth trying.I don't care for the scent of it--it is almost like it's free of fragrance, but there is just an unpleasant scent of some sort that would definitely take some getting used to. I slathered this all over my face without doing a patch test first which is very unlike me. It is definitely an active product that applies thick and dries quickly to a matte finish. I prefer a dewy look as I get older, but did find that this kind of tightened up the look of my skin almost immediately. I was very aware that I had it on for quite a few hours not only because of the lingering smell, but because of a tight and tingly sensation that didn't seem to dissipate very quickly at all. I tried to apply my favorite tinted moisturizer over this and it was a disaster--they just don't pair well together at all.All of this to say, I actually thought my skin looked better as the day went on so I started thinking this could be a winner for me. Then, I fearlessly slathered this all over my face again at night before bed, thinking it didn't seem to cause any irritation in the day so I should be fine kind of a thing. I used my glycolic cleanser that I always use before and oh my goodness, that was not a good idea combined with this cream which also contains glycolic acid right after...my face was on fire so be forewarned. I was hoping it was a good painful tingle kind of a thing where I would wake up with flawless skin, but lo and behold, I had a light, sandpaper type bumpy rash all over one side of my face...so weird that my forehead and other cheek were fine. Hmm...it's 24 hours later and I still have a full blown rash all over one cheek so...it could have been from combining the two glycolic products on my sensitive skin, but I don't know for sure. I kind of want to try this again in a more sparing fashion because I liked the way my skin was looking with it, but at the end of the day, I think it probably just isn't the best product for sensitive skin unfortunately. Worth trying if you aren't sensitive though.

Horrible smell
I bought this cream because I had used a sample of it before. I love it then. I love the cream itself, it makes my skin feel awesome. What I don't love is the horrible smell. It's overwhelming and gives me a headache. It's just a bad patchouli smell. Don't buy if you don't want to smell like a hipster.

Not great
I have given this one a few tries but my skin just doesn't tolerate it well. It stings my face and sometimes it get to bad that I have to wash it off. The times I have been able to keep it on it does make my skin feel smooth and soft but that stinging is just to much for me to handle sometimes. If I use a very light application it doesn't sting as bad.

It works; however, don't forget to add a sunscreen to your routine
This cream works! My wife used it, and she is quite happy with the results. She says it removed her dark spots. However, it makes her skin a little sensitive to sunlight. Since the product suggests using SPF, I believe it is a known fact; however, we didn't see anything on the package. On the other hand, it also creates a burning feeling if you have a small scar or pimple on your skin.Overall, my wife liked what this cream offered and we can recommend it.
