is it SATA technology?

No it is NOT SATA technology. It uses the description PATA technology which is the same thing as IDE that is found in older PCs like the one I'm keeping alive. I also discovered that XP does not like to go above 128 MG so I quit fighting that limitation and just underutilize the drive or partition it into to logical drives.

I ordered one in October 2018 from AMTECH and the unit that was delivered was manufactured in May 2011. They are no longer manufactured by Western Digital, but I don't know when manufacturing stopped.
