Wonderful case
The only thing I don't like about this case (and have gotten over) is you can't switch on and off the mophie like the older version. Other wise it is a wonderful case and battery and has saved my phone many times. It does break open when I've dropped it but my phone has always been saved. I do wish they made this in rose gold to match my phone ;). Also, a few chargers are temperamental with the fit which could be very annoying but thankfully I had other cords that fit better.

Mophie cases are pretty good
I had bought a different charging case but didn't have full coverage like this case does. The charge doesn't last as long as my other case but it lasts long enough for what I need it for. I have dropped my phone twice since getting it and the front popped off and my phone slid right out of the case. Phones still working perfectly and the case is still intact. This case was a little cheaper then the other one I have but I'm glad I bought it....

A bit confused..
Note- This case was a gift for a family member's birthday.I'm not sure if it's because the case was gold instead of black, but I had a Mophie case on my old S7.. and currently have one on my S8.. and it is absolutely made of a different material.I've dropped both of my phones dozens of times. It feels like a hard, rubberized material and has never so much as scuffed either one. Not sure exactly what the material is, but it has a grip feel to it.This product is clearly plastic, and does not feel quite so durable. After snapping the phone in, on be side clicks in as if a side button was there, but there's not. I open back up to inspect, but all little tabs and clips are new and in tact. It snaps back together just fine, but the side still clicks in and out slightly. While installing a glass screen protector, the phone slipped off my leg and fell a short distance.. 14 inches or so. It left a very noticeable scuff mark.. as if a lightweight plastic was spray painted. It makes absolutely no sense to me.. as I said before, I had a Mophie case on my old S7 and it didn't feel like this. It does not take a charge from the Mophie car vent charger. Once the phone charges 100%, the 12V adapter light turns from green to red and it does not pass the charge to the phone. The Mophie desktop charger in the office does charge the case once the phone hits 100%, but the phone also pops up a notification that it "senses a slow charge" and to use the cable that was supplied with the phone. Never have I seen this notification on either of my phones.Even the magnetic properties seem off. Yes, the magnet does attach the phone to charging docks, but the magnetic bond is not amazing.. just adequate. I was so impressed with MY Mophie products that I constantly would demonstrate to family and friends by sticking my phone to the Mophie charging dock, then swinging the dock around and shaking it vigorously. I'd take my finger and pull the phone half way off, then show how the magnet snaps the phone right back into it.This case seems to have a stronger magnetic bond on the bottom than the top. Simple physics.. for an upright position with side to side bond, the top should be equally strong, if not stronger, of a magnetic bond than the bottom.Demonstrating the bond with this case, just slightly lifting the top off of the dock makes the phone slide right off.The only sense I can make of this is if Mophie has allowed other sources to manufacture these products and brand them. The only problem is, if that is the case, they are not being produced to the same quality standards. To be quite honest, I'm actually a little pissed about the purchase. The Mophie brand is not cheap, and 200 bucks was invested as a gift between this case and two chargers. Had the case been for my phone, I would immediately be requesting a refund and making the purchase from Best Buy where my other two were purchased. As a gift for someone else that has had no other Mophie products to compare it with, I guess it will do.If it is a situation where colored cases are a different material than the black ones, I'd highly suggest for the manufacturer to discontinue them. If you're a consumer reading reviews to debate a purchase, I'd try the black. There's vendors on Amazon that sell skins made to fit Mophie cases. As I mentioned in the title, I'm a bit confused with the issue here. I'm not sure what the deal is with this particular case. Would I recommend the product to friends? Yes.. I'll continue demonstrating the quality of my products, but will also suggest that the purchase be made in store, and not online.

Nice, with a little change
This is my second Mophie (purchased a new phone). If this one gives me as good service as the last one it will be great. One change on the new one is there is no longer a switch to turn it on/off. This was a little confusing. There were no instructions in the box. Just the normal legal disclaimer in about 15 languages. I got on the Mophie web site and found the instructions for my model. I read that to turn the Mophie on you hold the button down for 2 seconds. Maybe I missed it, but I finally figured out that you also hold the button down for 2 seconds to turn it off. This is important to know for if the Mophie is on and you fully charge the Mophie and phone, when you take the charger off, the Mophie will continue to charge the phone battery. In this condition if you are only monitoring the battery indicator on your phone, when the phone battery is about to die the Mophie will also be out of charge.

The best charging case available, but needs some improvements.
This is the third Mophie I've bought and they're the best charging case you're gonna find. First off, the material is great. It's soft plastic which provides good grip but doesn't collect lint like Otter Boxes do. Also, the case snaps together better than the old Mophies did, so it stays secure even if you drop it. I actually find it very difficult to hold my phone without this case on it. The case adds a bit of size which make using my phone much more ergonomic (large hands). Most important to me is the fact that this case actually RECHARGES with charging bases. I thought that was a feature that all charging cases offer, but they don't. The Mophies do wirelessly charge, which is extremely useful. Samsung fast chargers will fully charge one of these in about an hour. But nothing is ever perfect and this case is the same. A few things I don't like: the headphone jack port is rather small, so some of your wired headphones might not work, without a separate an adaptor that costs a few bucks. But I don't want to have to carry around an additional item so I just use headphones that have a narrow plug. Also, Mophie does not offer sound routing ports from the speaker to the front. That might not seem like a big deal unless you care about sound quality. Another charging case manufacturer does offer sound routing ports and that's great, but their charger doesn't support wireless charging. I guess no one wants to make a product that does everything.I know a lot of people say their battery failed after a while, but I was using my last Mophie case for 2 years before it gave me issues. Still, battery technology isn't very good yet and there's nothing else better out there. I still recommend these Mophies.
