2 February 2021 Paperback the Four Winds

This is the second book I’ve read by this author and I’m so impressed I found 6 or 7 others of her’s. This book was so important to the understanding of what those that felt called West to the land of milk and honey had to endure. For the most part, working as they worked is unimaginable today. The ability to work hard is becoming a lost “art” if you will. We don’t know what it is like to milk a cow for our milk or clean a chicken for our dinner. We don’t know how to go without as they did. We don’t know missing a meal because there isn’t any food. Each generation is further removed from knowing what our ancestors survived. Thank you for writing this book!

Loved the Auible version- first time I've tried it. I was able to go for long walks, garden, etc. and all the while entertained by a great story.

I gave it as a gift to my daughter. She couldn't put it down.

I purchased one for myself and gave one as a gift. Recommend to my friends.

Enjoyed reading background story of the depression and migration of people to California. Heroine was not likable or believable.

Great book. Some chapters were drawn out too much almost as if to just fill up paper but overall a good read.

She did not disappoint. Great writing and a real page turner. Love Kristin Hannah!
