Q: I bought this as well and i still can not open to get the diced garlic out, someone please detail how to retrieve the garlic after it is diced?

The green section unscrews from the clear bowl but garlic isnt diced, only sliced

Q: Is the pin supposed to remove from the hinge? Mine came and the pin was off and in the bag.

No. The pin holds the hinge together. My garlic chopper also lost one of the blades. The same had happened with the one I gave my 88 year old mother and she found the blade in her food. Luckily she saw it before she accidentally put it in her mouth

Q: Is the container made out of glass? Also how well does it insulate the smell. I have a similar Gadget and the whole fridge stinks of garlic.

The container is plastic, both top and bottom. I have kept it in the fridge with minced garlic for a couple of days with no smell, but I prefer to chop it fresh and use it all. I always use more than most people as i'm Italian and love garlic, and if there's a little left over, I just toss it in!
