desertcart.com: Tax-Free Wealth: How to Build Massive Wealth by Permanently Lowering Your Taxes: 9781937832056: Wheelwright, Tom: Books Review: Readable, informative, reassuring (and here's a quick way to tell if your edition is up-to-date) - Very reader-friendly style that will instantly appeal to anyone who has been made to feel ignorant by their C.P.A. I've even had to question whether the "expert" was too resentful of my good fortune with a particular investment to bring himself to advise me on how to report the gain. Rather than a few basic points about reporting Schedule D investments, he berated me for putting numbers in the wrong column and derided me for my poor penmanship. Now that I see how easy it is, even for a numerical illiterate, to designate the lots that have been sold, I'm even more impatient with paying a professional for such annual humiliations. I mention the foregoing because the author quickly presents the reader with such a scenario, one which proved an exact fit in my case. The problem I'm having with this book is determining whether the edition is the right fit, as it appears I indeed did not receive the latest edition as advertised on desertcart. I bought it new from desertcart in Feb. 2016, and the clincher for me was desertcart's assurance that the book would be the 2nd edition, published in 2015. The edition that I received nowhere is listed as anything other than a 2012 First Edition. Moreover, it comes up about 40 pp. short of the advertised 320 pp. Comparing the copy I received with the preview on the desertcart page was of no help because the preview is from the 2013 Kindle Edition! I'll change the rating as soon as the mistake is corrected or I'm satisfied that one was not made. The one star is simply to alert others to check with desertcart before ordering a book that's a first edition despite being advertised as follows: Series: Rich Dad Advisors Paperback: 320 pages Publisher: RDA Press, LLC; 2nd edition (May 26, 2015) Language: English ISBN-10: 1937832058 ISBN-13: 978-1937832056 Addendum: Since writing the above, I put my question about the edition to the author on his website. Within a couple of hours I received a call from his assistant (or publisher). She directed me to page 81 in the book, where I saw a table of federal income tax brackets with the year 2015 placed on top. Problem resolved. You can order a copy assured that yours is the current edition with the foregoing quick check. As for the page discrepancy, desertcart's number (320 pages) is correct when the Preface and Foreward (both employing separate Roman Numerals) along with almost 20 "filler" end-pages are factored in. Still, hard-copy "book wonks" (like me), not to mention book "nerds" and book "geeks", might prefer a less confusing description on desertcart's page. Review: Great Introduction to Taxes on your Wealth - Tom Wheelwright is a brilliant and very honest man who really knows the tax code. He does not try to find tax loopholes or gimmicks to lower your taxes, but sound legal ways that the government allows you to lower your taxes. It is one very important factor in your overall wealth strategy. It is also something they never teach you in school. This book is a great introduction to how one can reduce their taxes legally and provides a wealth of ideas and methods on how to do this. My wife and I used several ideas from this book to help us take legal deductions that we did not do beforehand. However, this book is not a one stop shop. It is a good primer to get you started. But you also need an honest and intelligent tax advisor as well. We personally use Tom Wheelwright's company, ProVision, to be both our tax advisor and tax preparer. The book is great and I recommend every American who believes in capitalism to read this and start their own financial education.

Great Introduction to Taxes on your Wealth
Tom Wheelwright is a brilliant and very honest man who really knows the tax code. Solid, comprehensive advice
Holistic and solid advice on not only how to maximize tax savings beyond income tax but also insights about how to use the savings to build wealth. A bit repetitive at times and you will need to double check and investigate further regarding specifics in your country but you will be well prepared to do so after reading this book.

Finally, a book that will open your "financial" eyes...
If you been studying or following Robert Kiyosaki plus a member of the "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" club, and understand basic financial principles, but somehow still missing a piece of the puzzle and feel like you are moving very slowly toward building wealth----then you must have this Tax-Free Wealth guide. Whatever was holding you back building your financial empire - this masterpiece will fill that void. After finishing this book, you will finally understand all the Rich Dad principles and how they all work together. This book will explain in plain English how and most importantly why Rich Dad principles work to accumulate wealth over your lifetime and beyond so that you can pass that wealth for generations to come. Anyone who will read this book will finally comprehend why "the rich just keep getting richer" and why this statement still holds the truth even in today's unstable economy. However, after learning what this book holds, be prepared to face people who still do not understand how financial principals work and may get offended by what this masterpiece teaches: using the tax code to pay very little tax; or legally paying no taxes at all while having other citizens pay taxes for you. Tax-Free Wealth can also be offensive to people who may experience an "Ah-ha!" moment as soon as they comprehend how some political leaders use the tax code to build lots of, lots of wealthy. At the same time, those leaders hypocritically proclaim that they are "working for the little guy" while robbing their own continually though the legal use of the tax code. For some people, this reality will be hard to deal with. In conclusion, we are positive that author had no intention for this book to be confrontational. However, we must admit the truth about financial world hurts, and this guide will unfold the truth of why "the rich" get rich----and stay rich. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is ready to step up the game and create financial wealth that will last for generation.
